    Very nice work. I'd like to thank you for putting it in the power menu. One more lot for parks, and I'll burst. 3.gif

    Hope to have them in my city some time soon.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//ShazbotBud01.jpg align=baseline>

    without filler lots....
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//ShazbotBud02.jpg align=baseline>

           I don't think you know how much more  this is goning to make the game better for me.  I wish I could use the BAT tools like you, but I can't.  So I thank you for doing this for us all.   To me this is one of the top five batting projects for my city to look as real as poss, alone with the nam and some others.  So thank you so much for all your hard work.29.gif19.gif16.gif

    Wow, that's great!
    But looks a bit strange without a shadow under the elevated highway. Especially from the angle, when you can't see the pillars.

        I wanted to say thanx for the link to the turning lane mod.  All it had was some textures.  I wanted to know if there was a link to a file so I can just plug it in to my folder being again that I sux at BAT  and lot editing and all the other neat things you can do in the game.  If not , thats cool.  Keep up the good work.  And also like the idea of putting this in power menu, have so much in the parks menu as is. 29.gif

    Slow hand
    So when are these actually going to be released?

    you win a large kick in the ass for being the 100th  simtropolizen to ask me this39.gif
    seriously soon...cant ya see lad...its right before your eyes...OPEN THEM...oops nothing there yet...wait38.gifjoking

    ShazbotBud05.jpg
    i photshoped the onramp piece so you can see where the ramp would go

    nutty111 ....go to my origianal post on this thread...thats when i started bat....i tried a bit everyday...and used this site with its tutorials and above all friendlly and helpful citizens...its has taken months as anyone following the thread knows...however it represents may be a week and half of work..excluding RL...

    the funny thing is i still suck at bat....all i can do is
    1. make blocks spheres or tubes.....or variations there of...i still havent worked out the spline thing
    2. make lods that fit ALMOST to the model...small details=memory drain
    3.add and manipulate textures....leading to render
    4. yesterday i learned how to make some textures as seen above.....though i seem to have a conflict with that and its affecting a nam texture...lol

    so in short i know less than many here.... thats why this is taking so long...

    my real secret was that as a child i was always fasinated with construction and buildings
    which led me to study drafting in highschool and a co-op work placement for a construction firm
    i then studied architectual technology at the college level for a year....then dropped out...in a big way14.gif

    that was all many many years ago...but I still retain the thinking elements for three dimensional design...just cant stand an organised office enviroment....ick...

    anyways...i would say that the big thing here is element design and layout over model asthetics...simply because these pieces are meant to blend in to any number of enviroments especially with the addition of other props...as oppoesed to filling in just one corner of a lot... i think...34.gif

    heres your road turning lanes......i hope this is allowed if not oops..its from this thread ----> Turning Lanes - Development    its a beta so DO NOT complain about it....though input is good.....

    In fact, here's Beta 01!  ^_^

    RTL Beta 01

    This version works with the 072505 version of NAM.

    Snip from the Readme:

    --------------------------------
    Road Turning Lanes Beta 01 - RTL
    --------------------------------

    First public version of the RTL.  It bascially creates turning lanes for the road 4-way and T-intersection.

    --------------
    How to install
    --------------

    There are three files, the first one you need to worry about is 'NetworkAddonMod_Roundabouts_Plugin_Beta.dat'.  This is currently one of the NAM plugins.  If you have the Roundabout plugin installed you HAVE to replace that file with this one.  If you DON'T have it installed you still need to install this file.

    The next file is 'Z_RTL_Main_RUL_10000002_082705.dat'.  You need to either install this file in the same folder as the NAM main file, or in a sub-folder where the NAM main file is installed.

    And the last file 'Z_RTL_Left_drive_ONLY.dat'.  You ONLY need to install this file if your game is left-drive!  I REPEAT!  ONLY INSTALL THIS FILE IF YOUR GAME IS LEFT-DRIVE!

    AleKing
     thanks as always...ya just thought of that last night...this one will really only work on flat level terrain.....if i can figure out the model i might be able to do this for sunken highways....sodatwin i think was working on that...i dont know yet....if the ramp model is consistent in all four directions it should be possible
     i fixed the under-ramp texture...i like it much better now
    ShazbotBud04.jpg

    Criquette
    .......i thoutht of that too...some time ago..some nam pieces dont project shadows yet...work in progress etc ..and also  the roads have different shadows from highways...which differ from rail which differ from double rail...etc.....so what do i do make four of every prop...its close to a hundred props already (many combined for each lot)  that would make it four hundred...etc...i fear there is no asethetically pleasing solution...also it doesnt bother me9.gif

    edit...i had shadows turned off....im  an idiot...though the above stands...some NAM pieces still dont project a shadow...these will be updated at some point i believe
    imadolt01.jpg
    however if you have a solution let me know44.gif

    Thanx also Hordijk, Nata, Blackbeard...and all others

    Hey buddybud. Great work my friend. These will come in handy when you release them. Just a thought, perhaps someone on the STEX could help you with the BATS19.gif. Although I think it looks fine the way it is44.gif

    Great job my friend...9.gif

        Hey Buddy,  Thanx for the reply.  I gave the BAT tools a shot one time.  Spent like an hour, could not make anything.  Just a round tube, was junk.  Wish I had more time to learn cause I have so many ideas, just can't do them.

        One more question, about your offramp pic you have there.  I see the tree in the first is green and alive, but in the second it is dead.  Are these seasonal, or did someone just forget to water the tree?47.gif

       Thanx for all your hard work.

    And still the development continues...

    Looking at the pictures above i think i succeeded in filling up the space...however im still unhappy about the content...
    also when i played on the slopes i realised the models stair intruded with the texture drive throughs...
    plus the models looked plain boring and repetitive in my opinion...

    all ilustrated below with a 2x2 repeated twice
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//0001Astrix00.jpg align=baseline>

    so presenting mach 4...
    i think i covered all the bases now check this out

    below is my new 1x1 basic model and the new texture with it....next to it is a basic filler piece...
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//0001Astrix01.jpg align=baseline>
    note the prop zero point is on the corner where the prop overhangs into space
    also note the addition of rails to the stairs....the concrete wall its attached to also functions to cover up the railing of the prop next to it when used....

    check it out..the flat terrain view  ......heres the 1x1 lot and the 1x1 filler piece used twice each....see how you cant see the railing
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//0001Astrix02.jpg align=baseline>

    now heres the same two pieces uesed four times each on slightly sloped terrain now surrounded by industrial
    see how the railings now appear...cool...also note the prop control....all the boxes barrels walls and fences set where their supposed too

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//0001Astrix03.jpg align=baseline>
    finally a general view
    0001Astrix04.jpg

    i think i am now content with the content...really lol..im my biggest single critic....

    Hello, BuddyBud.

    I want to be sure you know that even though I haven't been posting much, I have read EVERY ONE of your posts (and other's replies) with great anticipation and excitement.

    Once you are finished with these exquisite additions to SC4 and make them available, I intend to scarf everyone one of them up and will be using them extensively.

    Thank you so very much for all of the time and effort you are putting into these great pieces.  They really are going to broaden our choices and enhance our gaming pleasures.

    Have a great day.

    Regards,

    Vandy

    In the end you will see, You is you and me is me.

    thanx aleking....so do yours ive been lurking...lol....nice rivers...learned alot

    the other day i posted a picture ....a bit of which is circled
    the circle represents a problem...yet again
    001aCookiesAreGood.jpg
    as you know im a bit of a perfectionist...and well...as you can see the stairs end up in the road....not good for your general health....i also noticed this for my onslope pieces but a solution eluded me.....it was either no stairs at underpasses where they would most logically be placed i might add....or figure something out....
    thats what i did...it took me 48 hours of trial and error.....&*$#!!!!!!!26.gif

    finally it worked out below is my solution in all its 1x1 glory.....lot 16a-376(budub)35.gif

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//002aCookiesAreGood.jpg align=baseline>
    pretty exiting eh??? not really..its not suppossed to be....ON FLAT LAND...lol...
    check this out...all the fancy walls on on the left hand corner under the underpass serve a purpose....they hide the fold out ramp and stairs...no kidding....
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//003aCookiesAreGood.jpg align=baseline>
    and another angle....
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//004aCookiesAreGood.jpg align=baseline>

    theres all kinds of things this prop control could be used for...

    some pic updates
    heres some bridge props ive been working on....
    the neat thing is it's just one lot...the bridge props act like a prop family and randomly picks a bridge for you
    gettinit01.jpg
    gettinit02.jpg
    heres a bridge in game
    gettinit06.jpg

    and another
    gettinit08.jpg

    as you can see i've also made some additional jeronij tiles...i'm just waiting for permission to upload those...heres a the set (theres actually two, the top row will be seperate)
    gettinit04.jpg

    heres the eight basic lots for train on slope interchange puzzle pieces
    gettinit12.jpg

    they can be rotated and used doubled up like these (the street, highway and glr overpasses can also be done as such)
    gettinit13a.jpg
    gettinit13b.jpg

    with the above walls, my set of seven lots and the prop set to support it almost any rail interchange can be reallized...wow

    and finally a couple of an interchange....this is what i was going for all along...whooooooo whoooo29.gif
    gettinit10.jpg
    gettinit11.jpg

    just gotta finish it up...lotta crap on the go....as for the underbridge scenery part..ive been working on a wall texture to help tie in the industrial theme...heres a preview....
    you%20lookin%20at%20jeronij%200050b.jpg

    with the permission of jeronij ill be uploading the add on sets for his concrete wall bat its ready to go ....the onslope rail bat will follow as it is next to complete also...cheers39.gif

    nice...thanks all4.gif

    edit:  toxic pm me...sorry been busy

    how did i do it jeronig....well

    heres your standard solar fence that you used in your bat.....yep not slope conforming
    0001howtoslope04.jpg
    from experiece this is whats going on...the above fence was modeled and rendered as such...
    you can tell this because of the way the prop sits on the slope....its centered and half in the ground and half out
    0001howtoslope02.jpg0001howtoslope03.jpg
    the green line in the second phot shows how it would look on a slope.....a prop always (i think) seems to balance on the pre-render 0,0,0 point

    so what we want is this.....a smaller prop...only 2m across instead of 16....and have it extend below ground an equal amount as it sits above ground like so....
    0001howtoslope05.jpg0001howtoslope06.jpg
    you can see by the second photo that at a 45' slope or even a 85'-90' slope the fence is going to be visisble...remembering that the fence will balance at that magic 0,0,0 point....lets hope so...31.gif

    0001howtoslope01.jpg

     3.gifhurray it worked....though it required 7 props instead of one47.gif

    thats it essentially.....it gets trickier when you do the stairs....like these
    you%20lookin%20at%20jeronij%200051b.jpg
    anyways thanx again...your textures gave me a good starting place.....

    if you or anybody else wants to try them out download a beta here  BuddyBud-Jeronij ConcWall-Addon.zip .
    Just hit the orange DOWNLOAD button from the linkpage....be sure to let me know if there are any texture problems....i hope not14.gif

    edit
    for anyone else you'll also need jeronij's Modern Concrete Wall Bat ...you really only need the dat file with the textures

    edit again...wall lots found in power menu....44.gif

    edit yet again....please try the balcony lot on a slope....its kind of neat...i used an optical illusion with the base overlay...check it out youll see what i mean....looks best from the straight on view point...but still works otherwise35.gif....let me know what ya think
