Not to downplay the seriousness of this situation, but there are well over 2,500 tornado warnings per year in the United States. It is unwise to post news on a weather story that might not exist (not all tornado warnings have tornadoes in the end). If we did this for ever tornado warning, poor Dirk would have to pay a lot more for this site to stay open. After all, this information is readily available for those in the path at http://weather.gov

After all, I've been under tornado warnings 5 times this year... one of them was even a huge devastating tornado (Hugo, MN).

We don't need an up to the minute update of life threatening news since it doesn't affect the vast majority of us nor can we comment or discuss.

Hmm... this could affect only you, maybe you and one other member. Please don't post tornado warnings here, because it's too common to be forum post-worthy. Plus, there is also an edit button that you can also use. I'm sure citizens of Connecticut can also watch The Weather Channel, their local TV station, listen to a radio, etc. to find out about this type of news.

Hmm... well, I'm in Stamford (southwest of the warning area). It's just starting to rain right about now as I type this.

Maybe I should put up my deflector shields. 3.gif

(Also, as an aside, your sig is incomplete: you're missing I-684)

EDIT: In respone to the "maybe you and one other member" comment:

Cheese89 and Cheese91 are from Danbury. simbuilder (some of you old timers might remember him) is from Fairfield. vilbe is from New London. And then there's me. So we're already up to five others. 38.gif
