SC4 Update doesn't work

So, I've transferred all my files to anew computer, and realized I needed the patch from the simcity.com website. So I went and got it, installed it, and it doesn't work. It says it's done its thing but it hasn't. Since then My terrain mods wont delete, and all ships in my seaport turn the ugly green and red smuge color. Any ideas?

Maybe you need the Simcity 4 Update.

Make sure you have the SKU 1 installed if you live on the US.

There are two updates: UPDATE_SKU1_TO_P1_B638 and SC4Update4BAT.

Howver, if you're using a crack to play the game (aka, you're pirating it), you will never see night lights

I have a similar problem: when I try to install the update it says "invalid registry" and does not install. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you have a workable game on the older computer you can install the game from the CD so the registry keys are added, then you can overwrite the program files from the older computer.  That way the game will be updated.

I am not sure the graphics problem is from the update patch.
