Welcome to McConnellVille.  A small region with a lot to offer from a beautiful rural countryside to a vibrant, bustling downtown core.  A quick thanks to everyone who adds to this site everyday, without your hard work and dedication, this would not even be possible.  So on to a few pics to give you a taste of what is to come.  Hope you enjoy it.

Wow, nice region shot. I love that little CBD on the island. It looks kind of like in Montreal. Nice! 4.gif

Very nice region shot! It looks very complete (I don't necessarily mean 'finished', but 'well rounded').

I especially like the park at the end of your highway bridge. Very nicely done. I also like the 'dippy' avenue. It looks like a nice gentle rollercoaster!

Thanks for all the comments so far.  I have a quick little update for you all.  A general overview of downtown to give you an idea of what the city looks like and a proposal for a new waterfront in the city.

    First a Downtown shot:

    McConnellVille-Jan91841215200846.png

And now on to the waterfront.  Currently the waterfront is empty as you can see below:

    waterfrontempty.jpg

A master plan for a new waterfront is needed for the area.  It's main goal should be to provide access to the main features of the area and to connect its assests.  Reconnecting the stadium district (Football, Hockey, Baseball, and Soccer venues) to its surrounding neighborhoods all the way down to the McConnellVille Zoo (bottom right) is a priority and is the main purpose of this waterfront development.  Here is the plan I have produced:

    waterfrontmasterplan.jpg

This plan connects the area and i believe creates a very interesting place in itself.  Some of the proposed structures will create new residential places to live in along the water.  This will also be an area of tourism with a casino and luxury hotels sparkling against the sea.  43 marinas will also be built as new land masses are formed out into the ocean creating a unique recreational experience.  I hope you will all let me know what you think about the plan and give me some feedback and critiques are welcom so dont be shy!  I will show some in-game pics of the completed area in my next update which should be done before the weekend is over.  So have fun and a Happy Fourth of July to everyone!

Explosive intro man! The first thing I noticed was that CBD on that one small island, and the closeup reveals it is a nice one! The whole region looks awesome, from the satellite and transportation view to the closeups shown so far! I can't wait to see the waterfront developed!

I love your CBD. It's very nicely contained, and not too vertical! The waterfront development is great too. Very well spaced out. It looks like an affluent area. I like the map you made.

This is a really nice starting. The pictures are fabulous overall, specially the night-time ones. I like the maps and the use of custom contents in the context of your city, it seems to be a huge urban sprawling as I can see in the first pic. Great job so far.

Your Waterfront Pics, look like an area here in Lisbon called Expo ( it was the Expo in 1997 i think )

Complete with Casino, Penthouses and many Trees and parks.

    I love it!

    Can't wait for another Update

This looks nice, I like your region view a lot, obviously you're using a lot of trees. I like your use of custom interchanges as well as your use of parks and retaining walls.
