Question about time between cities

Recently got the game and having a great time creating different cities in a region. A couple of questions: How does time effect each city? For example, city 'A' is designated as a manufacturing center to create jobs for city 'B', a bedroom community. If city 'A' runs for 5 years and creates some light manufacturing and a power plant, but city 'B' runs for 30 years, how does the game interpret these time differences? Will city 'A' (1905) still have the same amount of jobs available to city 'B' in 1930? Just curious how EA reconciles these time differences, and what is the best way to deal with them. Right now I play each city for about 5-7 years and switch to the others to keep them within a few years. What is the best way to deal with the time differences, or does it even matter? Thanks all!

As far as i'm aware there's no effect. I have some cities that are more than a hundred years ahead of others and there seems to be no difference. Sims seem to move as freely as they did from day 1. I might be wrong though. I'll leave it open to someone to correct me.

Time in cities has no effect over on the region. The years is only ment for how old your city is, nothing else.

can it effect a cities growth? If city 'A' has manufacturing and creates 100 jobs, in 1910, but neighboring city 'B' has 10,000 people in 1930 with no manufacturing jobs, would the lack of jobs in city 'A' effect city 'B'? My concern is commuting workers, will they have enough jobs if neighboring cities don't have jobs for them?

No.. its just a convenience.. time elapsed only affects the city you are playing.. they are oblivious of time in other areas

Amount of jobs and residents do matter. Time doesn't.

If you have a town with 10 000 people and the neighboring town has 10 000 jobs, it works. Yes, if you had 100 jobs for 10 000 people, they wouldn't have enough jobs.
