LORRAINE

First off we are going to visit the Grangesteig District which is about 3 Km from the Market District and the Bismarck Zentrum Central Station. This area is famous for its many tree filled parks that dot the area, making it a highly attractive spot for families and for outdoor enthusiasts. The largest park in the City is also located here, and will host the G5 Summit which is happening soon. The entire area was destroyed in WWII and thus it looks much more German than the city's center, and is less diverse than the Market area.

It must really of been quite some time since my last Mosaic, haha how annoying. Any ideas on why it keeps doing that? Anyway because of heavy bombing in WWII there are very few buildings that are over 60 years of age. One such example though can be seen in this picture, a set of French styled buildings that escaped damage from the war. These buildings are usually the most expensive in the city because of not their location, but the fact that they stand as historical monuments to Renaissance Lorraine, and because they differ from all other styles in the area. The Grangesteig District is mainly a residential section of the city, but unlike the last update does not host any main commercial benefits or shopping.

Die Katedralen auf St. Marks is the largest Protestant Cathedral in Chloe' and is also one of the tallest structures. All major cathedrals in Chloe' particularly sit about 8 to 10 meters above the rest of the city. This was done so to put God above the rest of the city, and so that no matter where in the city you stood you could see the Cathedral's main tower looking down on you.

Die Katedralen auf St. Christopher is the Largest Catholic Cathedral in Chloe', and sits in the center of the old cities hustle and bustle. Built in the late 1700's it has been the center for much activity in Chloe for over 200 years. Lately though the church has had troubles staying above bankruptcy thanks to very few Lorraine Citizens attending Mass anymore. Lorraine's Government has offered to buy the cathedral, but so far the members of the church have not budged. However the Church is very famous with tourists, and tours are one of the city's main attractions.

Well that was officially the first (second?) update of Lorraine I hoped you enjoyed it. The next update can be a number of things...perhaps the Khlon City Center or maybe the Resort city of Saint Laurent? Who Knows? I DO!

Dfvna- AHH well the Party of the Monarchy is obviously the one that totally backs the Queen and her beliefs, and this for some reason that party just always seems to have the most seats. The Party of the People is the closest thing to the Socialist Party, and under them all schooling is free of charge to Lorraine Citizens and the Workers Union Party is more for Workers rights. Because of how closely related they are most of the general public groups them together, although they are different parties. Thats why they were the same color on the Chart but were still a little different. The Communist party I had explained, The Free Libral party would like to see both the destruction of the Monarchy and their power, and a redo of the Parliament. The green party is just the green party, hold enough power to keep Lorraine from building 1,000 coal powerplants, but not enough to actually make any real changes.

Beautiful cathedrals! I love your city, it's very pretty, and the buildings look like in Germany, the newer post-war buildings that were designed to look like old ones.

Hi, Luke! Another great update, all the pictures each look fantastic. Those churches you used are excellent, neat how it's put up above everything on the city so you can see it from far away. The mosaic is beautiful, the German housing and mixture of buildings is just great. That park is also incredibly well done, I usually use the grass lots, but everything looks so much better with the terrain textures showing up. I know that cutting them apart has been a pain with those little lines, if you ever want, I can separate the pictures on photoshop and send them to you to post. Looking forward to the next update, nice work

Good second update! It does look German, but I almost like that better than the French buildings. The Parisian buildings have a distinctive look, and almost look strange elsewhere. The German buildings have a lot more variety (in roof colour if nothing else).

I also love the cathedrals! Sorry to hear about the church's recent troubles.

Penguin007- Haha well I still like to use the Paris Buildings, but for the most part yeah I am totally over them. I think Chloe' will be the only city I use them in to this magnitude, so we will see.

Hi Luke.  I love the mosaic!!  It is beautiful , with all the multicolored roofs.   Any idea what's up with the lines though,I do not know, are you using hot dog's tutorial?  I always overlap my pictures, thats how I avoid lines. 

The Cathedral is very beautiful too.  Both the Protestant and Catholic ones haha!  Btw this avatar is much better looking than your last  

Of course I have great shopping stories!  I had a impulse buy the other week, a pair of the most beautiful shoes.  Yes I am still doing reviews in theory, however I have not gotten around to it in a few months.   I really should be doing that this summer.  I would love to review Lorraine though.  Wow this is a long comment!    Waiting for your next update.

Chloe Mode International (IATA: CMI, ICAO: EDDI) is the main international airport in Chloe', Lorraine. It lies in Garund, a section of the northern borough of Lichestan. Mode Airport is notable for its strange shape, which until a few years ago was noted as the "Question Mark" Airport. Lufthansa, Luftkardinal and AirChloe all call Mode Int. a major Hub, and Continental, Emirates, and South African Airline's call Mode a minor hub. The airport serviced about 22.1 million passengers last year, accounting for about 34% of all tourist entry into the nation. The Airport at the moment hosts a Lufthansa Lounge, along with a Silver Lounge. Plans were to add a Gold Lounge, but the airport is in the process of applying for a Platinum Lounge due to its ties with Africa and the Middle East. The airport made 12th in an international survey of best airports, and is noted as the best airport in central Europe. It offers a small amount of Domestic service, with Germany and Switzerland also being noted as domestic thanks to strong ties between the three nations.

The airport has two main terminals, Terminal A and B. Terminal A was built in 1995 and hosts all International Travel. In 1998 Lufthansa announced that it would be calling Chloe' Mode a major Hub, transferring most of its flights from Munich in the process. The new terminal was finished in 1999 and on January,1 2000 the first flight from the Terminal was Lufthansa Flight 2001 from Frankfurt. Terminal B is also used by Luftkardinal. In late 2007 a Silver Lounge for One Alliance was built and not only connected the two terminals but also added four more gates. It is possible to get to any major city and every continent except Antarctica from Chloe'.

The update came out excellent, interesting note about the question mark shape it had earlier, I can kind of see it if I take off a section of the airport layout. It's very creative and well done, the size is just right

If I may say one thing though, I am by far an airport

builder. I just plop the ones from the game quite frankly

lol. But I always add miles and miles of parking because

the 142,000 sims that use my airport need somewhere to park.

I think a nice big parking lot would look good in the middle

of the terminals, where all the trees are. Unless its all

underground parking, then youve already got it covered : ]

But I really like the shape lol, I tried building one once. And it was just

like a square building with a bunch of runways oddly jutting out

of nowhere. Twas quite a mess if I dont say so myself.

Oh and the Queen of the Kingdom of Patadav requests a terminal

at your airport, lol I just thought Id tell you that.
