yea exactly, what's also wierd is that ie8 is still new and alot of pages of visual problems with it, but the picture actually fits into the screen when the compatibilty view is off.

Dtp dew to massive expansions into other cj's it appears my company will need a larger building to handle operations.

Now we understand virgin shores isnt very big so ill try and find a right building, but is it out of the question to move main offices into another cj?

Ntq$310: I'd edit your post quickly! You mis-typed Virgin Shores and it reads a little inappropriately! lol 4.gif I've nearly done that a few times.

I have to say that Garbage Island looks great, and the new beach is great too. I like the idea going around of moving the refinery, I wouldn't want to live in that area either. So, after that's moved, land values for that area will soar.

Also, the park board pre-approves the forest reserve, as that's the only new business going on.

The park board also wants to know how the new sports complex is coming along?????

Now to LIH board meetings lol.

Just wondering how the new HQ is coming along???? Anyway, great update, virgin shores is growing up nicely

i don't see it right now so i guess he changed it. well, dtp if there is any commercial need in the city i'd like to open up a real estate company in virgin shores
https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=17941
or
https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=12924

The Mctorrian Real estate company or Green Lake Real Estate either will work

JJC12321: I prefer Pewsley house. I think it would look best in the burgeoning commercial district begun by Patricius Maximus at the terminus of the Highway.

JJC, Im using that building already.

I would be more than happy to share the office though, It is a large building and it is only my regional office.

Your fist choice should be fine, JJC12321. It's only a small building in comparison to the others in the area that I suggested.

Ntq$310: The first one is fine. Just pick a preferred location or leave it up to our trusted mayor. The second building is only growable, so it's a no no i'm afraid.

Now that I'm about 2 pages behind on them, I'll finally reply to all your great posts!

    replybanner.jpg

    Page 52

    Haljackey: Thanks!

aaglo: I guess that all sounds OK, but I believe psander has addressed this since...

JJC12321: The rip-rap/breakwater/retaining wall/whatever is by Jeronij, and available here

And thanks. (must be logged into the LEX)

    Page 53

dancorp: That sounds good to me. I actually like this proposal. And btw, to get the pic to show in the actual message, click the little image icon when posting and paste the URL there.

Archean: Thank you. Yes, I probably should consolidate the two refineries in one location further inland... we'll see what Hampi says.

    Thanks for your vote.

In Virgin Shores, there are NO other established cities... the two tiles containing Oilville and the main city are the only two I've done anything besides terraforming in, so a region shot wouldn't have anything other than what you've seen in overview shots. As to what other cities I work on, take a look in the CJ section of the SCRT forums, or at DTP's Other Cities in my sig.

sim-Al2: Thanks. Well, garbage is loaded onto barges at the seaport, and then stored, sorted, and transloaded onto the bigger scows at the island. Or maybe there's a tunnel. 2.gif

That'd be un1's... There's demand, but its been abandoned due to a lack of demand.

    Page flip bug fixed.

    Tyler26101: You're welcome.

Not really, just whatever fits in.

Well now you can try it 2.gif

And I should be able to include a night overview in update 25.

Yes, there are real estate companies.

    sedimenjerry: What suprise?

aaglo: Are there supposed to be links in there?

I like that Refinery Relocation Plan (as its now called)!

I like Jardine House, but it is definately too tall. I'll keep it in mind though for the future.

And use the large smokestacks? They would make sense to keep the pollutants high in the air...

Lastly, your current building should fit in fine.

    lindsay-akhita-aomori: Thanks!

aaglo: There already is a cell phone store. It's a Verizon store in Crazyarchitect Corner Shops. We'd welcome some competition though. And I guess we should finally put up a telecommunications tower...

un1: Thanks... I guess I'll stick a region shot in...

    z26fireman: Thanks. Cool.

    psander5: tower was never built.

And he/she's since posted links at the bottom of the post.

Ntq: OK, then I'll include that in update 25.

aaglo/dancorp: Yeah, you've got a point there... but then again, it would attract development to out there.

Thanks. un1's office building appears to have been abandoned due to an imaginary lack of demand...

    Yes it does...

Thank you... I have 117MB of custom industrial (including I-R) 43.gif If you need some good suggestions, I'm here.

aaglo: yes, so the other departments need to be included, but Hampi will make the final decision.

heh... that'd be html, we use modified BBC here...

JJC12321: Yeah, that's got to be taken into consideration.

aaglo: Well the rail infrastructure's already in place, but a pipeline could work. And that link you posted is the one for the building you linked to a few posts up, not a pipeline...

    ky72x: Then welcome!

Thank you! Those stairs are functional too... TE'd for pedestrians, and the industrial area is thanks to the BSC Maxis Blockers.

    Patricius Maximus: heeheehee... thanks! 9.gif

Well I'll be sure to include you in the planning for anything else major.

Oh, and, just to let you know, VS-1 between Oilville and Shores Pointe sees about 250 cars/hour in the mornings now! Excellent planning!

sim-Al2: you have a link to that refinery set? And I wouldn't use the tallest... just one of the taller ones.

Ntq: hmmm... I see no image problem.

Like I said above, garbage is loaded onto barges at the seaport, and then sorted, stored, and reloaded onto larger scows at the island for shipment elsewhere.

aaglo: Mine too... on both IE7 and FF.

Shadow Assassin: True, I'll mess around with it and post my results in update 25.

OK, well not THAT 21.gif  finicky, but it can be obnoxious at times...

Hampi: OK then, I'll get started on it.

Ntq: I think so... maybe you have a weird screen resolution or something...

I like that mall, but it is a reward that requires a regional population of 225,000 and a city population of 50,000. DOH! That's what the "you don't deserve it" cheat's for!

We'll wait and hear what psander has to say.

    TimeMaster: OK, can do.

    Ntq: Hmmm... puzzling.

    Page 54

And there is no IE8. IE7's the latest version...

I suppose you could move into another CJ, but we here in Virgin Shores can probably accomodate a bigger building.

    crazyarchitect: Hey, you survivied Ike!

Thank you. As I said in another reply, I forgot about them, so would you like to give me a quick refresher?

JJC12321: I like the first building, though both fit into the city's skyline. I'll get back to you on demand though.

Ntq: That's fine. I would still encourage that you keep a regional office here though.

    psander: I'd have to agree.

Ntq: Heh! That first one's LIH's International HQ.

    And the second one's growable.

aaglo: heeheehee... sorry. I'm doing it now though.

JJC12321: I thought I already approved that building?

Oh, that was for aaglo. Well your first one was approved anyway, so not to worry.

GreekMan: Congratulations, but I don't think I'm going to keep trying to do anything for 00 posters... too far behind.

    Thanks.

psander5: Right, right, and right. So, Ntq, a location?

Update 25 will hopefully come this weekend.

    ummm any really.

Also no changes to The virgin shores area will be made, just main operations for the company be held in flint, though who knows mabey a expansion of the building in virgin shores could be needed anyway.

    Great CJ!

The first one I actually read all through (although I did not do much work last few days 2.gif )

I love the way how your city developed real naturally, especially with the creative input of so many other people.

Would you mind if I 'copy' the idea and start my own CJ with user input like this one had?
