I have a proposal in Virgin Shores, I will propose a landing strip west of the freeway, and a few proposals of housing developments, another shopping center, Roads, and a industrial sector.

I will show you where,


The landing strip will be named Virgin Shores Airport. And the housing developments are south of Greta's Spring Reserve Park, and next to the Supercity Plaza Shopping Center and Costco Wholesale Store. And the industrial sector will be built west of the oil refinery. There are proposed roads around the proposed developments, and a proposed expansion of the freeway and the cloverleaf freeway interchange. And Frontier Road will be renamed to Frontier Blvd.

I will submit this to the City Planning Department, VSDOT, and Mayor DTP.

Supercity if anyone would propose a airport it would be dot or dtp, and besides dot just said it would be better out of tile. 

And that interchange is very out of whack. And besides that your street layout for some of your developments dont take into consideration already proposed developments.

and dtp, i believe with iamccman's development i proposed residential development, or did you include that? im loosing my train of though

I have to hand it to you DTP. Virgin Shores is so famous, you get more posts in an hour then I do in a day. Hahaha, great job on this. Everyone keeps coming back here because your Journal is so intricate and indepth. You deserve that Trixie award that was mentioned a while ago, if you remember.

I saw... Hanna might still head NW though, it'll be a few days (according to the storm tracker) before it actually turns toward the bahamas, and we all know how skilled at predicting hurricane paths these meteorologists are.

How'd you do? And I'm only taking Algebra II/Trig and AP World History this year...  But I don't start until tuesday...

supercity124: The DOT has already stated that when necessary the trumpet interchange will be upgraded to a cloverstack, not a cloverleaf, to save space.

And that might be a better location for the landing strip, but the avenue off the map to the south is pointless, and the residential looks OK, but we'll see what Planning says. Oh and that triangle by the rail line is not practical for development.

Ntq$310: He can propose the airport, but the DOT and I would do all the specifics, and determine the best location, etc., as it really is the DOT's jurisdiction. I can't think of any developments it doesn't take into consideration though...

And I got that, and your residential by iamccman's has been built and photographed.

Whoa Dtp, just looked at the new posts in page 43 then i come back to 44 and new replies. Well that little clinic is good for Virgin Shores Point. I think a country club does look good there . Supercity i think that the airport should be more to the west. I have been watching the weather channel for hours, lol. Hanna is going NW then it will turn SW and hit Florida and/or the Bahamas. Gustav is probably going to hit Louisiana. lol.

OK TimeMaster, My English II teacher is spending her time in New Orleans with her family to survive the hurricane. My H.S. is saying she has a 95% chance of dying. And everyone, my house party is tommorrow. Besides, I'm in a good mood now since my H.S. football team won our first home game. 64-56 lasted 40 min. in overtime. So house party tommorrow!

Holy Moly are we busy tonight, anyway, I've been watching Gustav with an eagle eye(being in Galveston and all), and me and my family are prepared to leave when it is determined to go, once it hits the gulf, who knows. I also didn't mean to pester about my building, and I apologize if I did.

Anyways:

Supercity124: The commercial by the industrial in my opinion isn't a great idea, so I propose a park buffer for that area(if approved by planning). Maybe some walking trails and such.

sweet, dtp i really dont know how you keep up with all this. Though i think if anylanding strip should be built it should be built out of tile, where there is more space for any expansion, and away from from any future developments for a good amount of time.

One problem though, the school bus lot doesn't appear to work in-game, as I can't find it in any menu, so I can't do Jake's bus service proposal. If yo can find another building, however, I'd be happy to use it instead.

Holy crap, there's a lot going on... lots of good stuff. DTP, keep up the good work. I've enjoyed simply watching this continue to develop over the past week. Other than that, I've got nothing to say. No proposals, nothing. How you aren't ready to kill yourself over there, I don't know. Kudos for keeping your sanity.

Dang!!!! so much stuff going on. well. i kinda figurued out what i wanted for 1000, when possible, (in any city tile) i would like a sports stadium (prefferably baseball GO Angels!!!!!!!!!!!) and a house which is to be decided.  the in-game stadium would probably be the best because it has night games, i am not sure if any stex downloads do. So when appropriate that would be nice. (it would bring in tons of people and provide demand for commercial)

...BLAH. That's pretty much the ONLY lot on STEX with school buses in it, the other one is humongous, I doubt you'd want to waste that much space..

I know its city buses, but until I find whatever program you make BAT's in (I'm looking into it), I will settle for this. If I can develop one with school buses, then if its OK i'll have you replace it with that.

hahaha! i just found that out. I got the Camaco bus lot, but my issue is I'm editing it, and School Buses arn't a prop apparently. (thats why it don't work on my computer).  I'm making a custom lot using SC4 props but I cannot find the school bus prop either... hmm.
