Hi all,

I'm contemplating buying a spanking new computer on the weekend and want to get dual flat screen monitors. Now I know the programs I use will be compatible and will ahve no dramas...however what about SC4?

Does it appear just on one screen or does it try to stretch itself over the 2? Do you have to unplug one screen when you play or do you have to change settings on the card or in the game itself?

As you can see, I've got no idea and would appreciate any advice out there that anyone can throw at me.

cheers all.

I seem to remember that it goes on one screen, but I can't say for sure. But no matter what, there's always the option of unplugging one. Which you might want to consider anyway in order to save system resources for SC4

I have a dual monitor set-up, and it displays on one screen. It depends on how you have the windows desktop set up. I can stretch the desktop from one to the other, in which case I could set up SimCity with the custom resolution and have it stretch. I tried it once, but the division between the two monitors kept getting to me.

On Windows, I had dual monitors and it appeared on whichever one I told Windows was my primary screen. On linux, I need to disable the second monitor otherwise 1/4 of it will show on one monitor, 1/4 on the other, and the other half is invisible. That's just how Linux and fullscreen games with dual monitors work right now, but that was kinda off topic, you should be fine.
