No one has seemed to bring this up yet, so I will.

On saturday the 5th of April, a Fatal fire burned down the coolstore on the outskirts of Hamilton, New Zealand.

Here are some articles on it.

But basically, A fire started that was then fueled by the cheese that was being stored there. As the first firefighters were entering the building, it exploded injuring the firefighters (one latter dying in hospital). The fire is thought to have been started by a gas leak, although they have not had a good look at the aftermath.

Being a hamiltonian, and was able to see the smoke from a good distance away, it is a tragic accident, especially with the loss of a life.

Just thought I'd let you know.

It was a massive explosion (lots of explosions), people actually thought a bomb went off

The worst part is the health and environmental risk it now presents because of all the dairy products

To my knowledge its still burning because its still dangerous

burning dairy products cause environmental hazards? isn't it just fatty molecules, like oil?

You mean like Crude Oil?  Or like Cooking Oil?

And either way, yes.
