@Tropod: Were you able to fix the drag-over traffic enabled lots crash on this release? It is really annoying, but currently solved by saving a lot.

Unfortunately, only Maxis can fix that bug - the only workaround is to be careful when placing puzzle pieces.

    Yes, that bug can certainly be annoying if you incidently trigger it. The bug is documented quite clearly though in the Technical notes, & it's even mentioned in the Q&A file. So there's not much else we can do, except maybe remove all Puzzlepiece-type/based items 47.gif.

    Just an update on the files:
    The links have been updated. So please look at my previous post on the previous page for these thanks, along with the instructions & what's new. If the files are able to be mirrored still though, that would be good.

    i have a question regarding flat-model puzzle pieces like GLR and Ped Malls - a long time ago i remember when Ped Malls were added to the NAM; i didn't like the idea of putting a bus-stop or subway station TEL as the connector visually or functionally so i had used the Ped Mall Connector Lot created which was available on the STEX. however there was an issue of the colours not matching because the skinned .S3D Ped Mall puzzle-piece are 'automatically' lighter than a .FSH base texture like the Lot.

    all i really need to know is what is the best way to deal with this (for Bus Lanes). should i just make the textures used for the puzzle-pieces darker until they are as closely matched in-game as possible? or can i remove lights in the BAT or any other way 34.gif what options do i have or what is most effective? 1.gif

    (i posted this here because it isn't worth making a new thread)

    They seem to work fine for me. Try right-click -> Save as... or visit SimsZone  and pick them out of the news text (hier herunterladen for the installer or ZIP-Datei for the ZIP file). If it still doesn't work, you'll have to wait until the file will be uploaded to Simtropolis or any other mirror site.

    The links appear to work fine. Quite often, a PC or ISPs will cache webpages. This is quite normal, but can cause browsers to view webpages that have since been updated. In which case, you either need to refresh your browser (a few times), &/or clear the cache & try it again.

    NAM Installer(7.35 MB): NetworkAddonMod_Setup.zip Download this zip file, unzip the zip file, double click the Application & follow the steps. This installer will *guide* users through the installation. NAM ZIP Version (10.40 MB): NetworkAddonMod_050930.zip This is intended for Mac users. If you're not a Mac user, it is advised that you use the Installer above.

    Hey, great stuff on releasing the new NAM! 48.gif
    The installer should help people new to the NAM, so it's a useful addition. I have a question about it, though: why is the installer 3MB smaller than the zip version? From what I can see, the installation documentation in the zip version isn't that big, so what was removed from the installer version?

    After clicking on the link go to the addressebar click at the end of the addresse and press return. That helped me.

    That's what frimi2 suggested earlier.

    @all with download problems: Please look at my or frimi2's posting above, instead of just yelling Link not working!. 30.gif

    @bones1: The installer version is not different from the ZIP version, but it uses a better compression method. ZIP is a rather old compression method, and since then technology has moved on, as always. 2.gif The installer was not only chosen to make the installation process more easy, but also to reduce the size of the download.

    Okay, thanks. That's quite a lot of extra compression in the installer version.

    I'd be happy to mirror it temporarily, if no one has any objections.  I can't make any promises as to transfer speeds, and unfortunately I only have the installer version.

    As much as I've downloaded from here, I figure it's the least I can do to help.

    EDIT: main server back up. link removed.

    Hi guys! Let me first say I like all the work and effort that has been done so far. In my openion you guys surpassed the creators. Keep it up!

    Anyways I had a lot of free time in school, so I decided to think up some new highway interchanges.(unless some one beat me to it)
    I don't know what it looks like in real life, but I just hate the asymetrical T-Intersect in the game. So heres my idea:

    Circle T-Intersection
    circletintersect9dd.th.png border=0
    *quick note: notice how you can start in any direction and end up anywhere else. In another words, its a high way roun-a-bout.

    Here's a modified version of the Circle T
    Heart T-Intersection
    hearttintersect1pq.th.png border=0

    *im sorry it turned out horrible, but I hope you get the idea.14.gif

    Ok, I saved the best for last. Took me a while to think of this one.
    8-way Intersection
    8wayintersectb6hq.th.png border=0

    This is the simplest way possible for such thing. To look in a diffrent perspective, I color coded it.
    Red=Elevated Highway
    Blue=Ground Highway
    Purp=Transition
    8wayintersect2ic.th.png border=0

    *quick note: notice the sharp turns within the circle. Is that possible in real life?

    Actually Im not satesfied with this. Im still working on other vesions were it looks more complicated like, a double-decker round-a-bout.

    Im sorry I sux at Paint, I feel like a fool spending my weekend drawing pixle by pixle. (coppy paste helped) I don't know how theese might turn out on Gmax.

    If Some one looked at my ideas and get inspired for more wicked ideas, my job is done. Thx for your time.

    perhaps you should put this in the NAM: Requests thread.  but they seem like good ideas, although you probably wouldnt see them much, if at all, in the real world
