Located in western Canada, Redmond (fictional) began growth as a small logging town. However, it is ready for large grown.

I decided to post this now to show what I'm working on. I'll be pretty busy for the next month or so though so updates will be fairly infrequent until then.

bbfan02, mtbrocket- Thanks, it took me awhile to get the downtown layout how I liked it.

aceofspades, Greekman, RJN, Godzillaman, jacqulina, gabry85, waway625- Thanks for your support!

mayorbk- There is a starter piece and a drag piece for the RHW. Just tab to the exit you want, plop, then use the drag piece to make the offramp. Here's a link to a more in depth tutorial.

Edmonton stinks- Thanks. Weird stuff started happening to my computer+SC4 so had to delete lots of things.

Flying Scarecrow, simtastico, smarty218- Thanks, I looked long and hard (lol) for a region that looked right, lots of mountains, rivers and water.

    TRNSTN- yep.

    -UPDATE-

Redmond has quickly expanded to the south.

    -Sun Peaks apartments

    The local park

    apartmentskm0.jpg

Suburbs south of downtown. I tried to give these more of the inner city grid look. As i move out suburbs will become more winedy (sp? lol)

    Newer suburbs

A new freeway exit to accommodate the added traffic

And finally, a zoomed out look of the new developments.

Great job! Nicely done suburbs! Where did you get all the jobs to ensure work for all those homes? Hope it doesn't go black!

Wow, like in Dartford, the uniformity looks still very realistic! The apartment area is well-designed, I like it, nice place! 4.gif

nice suburbs 4.gif one question though, those walls that separate the residential area from the highway...in real life, do these walls really block the noise?

jacqulina- Thanks, I've been playing around with different styles for a while now. I'm starting to like these ones better.  I still have a long way to go on farms.2.gif

RJN, smarty218, jjune4991, nihonkaranws, gabry85, edmonton stinks- Thanks for the comments!

The big z- Thanks, those things took forever to grow lol.

Lordy Lord- Thanks for the comment. I have lots of heavy jobs along that main avenue south of the freeway. I also use lots of bus stops and train stations. If I really start to loose lots I'll place a blank lot with some extra jobs. (Simcity really doesn't like big suburban developments sometimes lol).

TheJakal- Yeah, they're kind of boring but I was going for a more inner city look. They will start to wind farther outside the city.

wayway625- Well, I don't live in a neighborhood like that but i seriously doubt it lol. It seems like they've built them everywhere though doesn't it?

Hopefully I will be able to get an update out this week. I'm still really busy though, 21.gif so we'll see.
