Woot woot, page 2! Thank you for all the wonderful comments everybody, I'll acknowledge you one by one!

Jacqulina: Thankyou! I'm glad you like the waterways...shhhhhhh, It's a secret, but I heard there's an even better water development in the making ...

lambsquirter: Thanks bud! yeah, in region views, I love seein my city sprawl everywhere. It looks real cool!

Theblademaster: hey thanks 2.gif Yep, I have one of those huge water company buildings I got from STEX. Some cities are nice and they share water.

dutch_cove: Thanks! The daily dessert...get it?? It's like a daily dessert...but it's the daily desert. Never mind if you don't get it. haha, too confusing

scf4rk: whoa! You said EXACTLY what newyorkrunaway said in like post 15....weird! But thank you! I love those palm trees!

aasim: Thanks bud! I'm glad you like the updates...sorry if these updates arn't up to par with the past ones...but don't worry, fabulous things are on the way...WINK WINK

Rooker1: Thanks for starting page 2 for me! haha, 'interesting style' eh?? I'm glad I'm different I guess.

GMT: lol thanks for the comment. I'm glad I 'wowed' you!

Here's some pictures of a new neighborhood off of Circus Drive:

    delucahousing2.jpg

Wal Marts have been popping up across the region...Here's one of the newer ones in Encore:

    walmartencore.jpg

The city has seen a decline in its mass transit system. As you can see, in the past 50 years, train and bus usage have steadily been going down. I meant to put this picture up in the last post with the Flamingo Street station decline.

Thank you for visiting Deluca Desert! And as always, let those camels roll! nice night buddies

How refreshing too see graphs and the like. Too much are they ignored. its a great insight to know how well a city is progressing. though i'd hate to be stuck in that city with 21 year olds being far and few inbetween33.gif

Wow, some comments! Thank you Jerebannus! I'll look into the oil. Thanks Dutch_cove, I'm glad you like Le Reve! I'm rather proud of it myself. Thanks 6underground! I always like what you have to say. And on with the update.

    Welcome to this wonderful land!
    This wonderful land!
    Full of sand!
    Guess what?? It's not bland!
    This wonderful land!
    Welcome to the Camel Lands!
(ok, didn't rhyme but close...EDIT: and it sounds better in my head)

TODAY: Snapshots around the Valley. Other News: Look! The Valley's population surpassed 500,000! woot woot! ...On with the show...

    1. DeLuca's City Hall (actually, it should be called Regional Hall). All the people who make the Important decisions for the Valley work here on Flamingo Street!
    2. Flamingo Street Station. Last time I checked, only 750 people used it. A long time ago, it was used by 30,000.

    cityhall22.jpg

    3. Rainbow Road. Another downtown boulevard in DeLuca. Some of the prettiest boulevards in the Valley are in downtown DeLuca. It's true.

    rainbowrd.jpg

    4. Corona Hill used to be the 'hip' place to live...haha But then better towns were built, and this place lost all its wealthy and 'hip' residents. SLOWLY, this town is again transforming from a low-middle end suburb, to a wealthy one. Time to reclaim its former glory!!!

    coronahill.jpg

    5. Artificial Lakes. Banora Point and Le R

First of all: Beautiful44.gif! But your sims must be rich and have a lot of desalination plants (yeah I played SC2K and loved them!!!) around for these artificial lakes and canals or do they pump salt water into them47.gif42.gif? I mean it is a desert town ...!!!!
But then - I love those mansions at the Kanals and in the cul-de-sacs - brıght idea I have to comfess! 36.gif

I wonder what solutıon you'll fınd for that question - the solutıon could result ın some very interesting areas and / or BATs ... 41.gif

I have to watch this CJ further I think so don't say I didn't warned you!!! 38.gif2.gif44.gif

Thankyou Jacqulina! btw, what's your cj called?? Thanks Gingerblokey, I like to show quality pics and such. I'm glad you like le reve, it was loads of fun making it. Thank you Oreon! Hope to see you around more often! Enjoy people! Hmm, most of the new developments are along the highway. So think of this as a journey along the Corona Freeway..lol ...and let the show begin!

A lot has been happening in this sprawling desert! Yep, our camels have definitely been rolling! Today, we're going to be traveling up and down the Corona, as I show you the many changes.....

Just north of Stepford is Palmdale. A city known for sprawling neighborhoods and technology parks.

    palmdale.jpg

    palmdalesprawl2.jpg

    palmdaletech.jpg

I'm not sure if anyone else does this, but I take pictures of my cities during progress. Like freeway projects and housing projects and such. Well, I stumbled upon this old one. It's of DeLuca in its earlier dilapitated phases with the Corona Freeway expansion. You can even see Circus Drive on the bottom! gross!

    historyphoto1.jpg

20 years later, Circus Drive has grown....

    Look! New clubs!! Scandalous!!

    circus2.jpg

The Tahj Hotel built luxury condos! what??

    circustahj1.jpg

Are we in France?? ... No no, it's the Paris DeLuca! Circus' newest resort!

    circusparis.jpg

Follow the Corona going south, you'll end up in Telescope Peak...
    dd3.jpg
    dd2.jpg

Here's before/after of Telescope. I love the new feel of the town after renovating this district. This town feels like it has potential now!!

    telescopepkbefore.jpg

    telescopepknow.jpg

    telescopemakeover.jpg

If you drive all the way back up the Corona, passing Stepford and Palmdale, you'll reach.....

La Laguna...Everyone, welcome to La La Land.

    lalaland.jpg

    The future: Flamingo Valley expansion

    flamningoland.jpg

More of this place later. Good night everybody! Drop your camel and leave a note!

Hello all! The camel has came back! Wow, thanks for all the comments, and sorry for the LONG delay.

jerrebannus: Thanks! I'll add a transportation map in the next update..my computer is slow right now =(

Masterplanman: Yah, I love the canals too! They're time consuming to make though, but once finished, they can look amazing.

Ninja12: haha yeah, Las vegas has been a big source of inspiration for sure.

jacqulina: I'm glad you like my city, I'm looking forward to seeing yours!! I can't wait!!!! =)

Nardo: Thanks for coming back! I saw Stepford the movie, that was my source of inspiration for my stepford town...and I promise that my town has no robots.

Sirgeoj2: Thank you! I'm proud of several of my towns. It's hard to try and make each individual town unique. That's why some look real cool, others look like cookie-cut towns from other towns, and others just look ugly with no planning or direction. Telescope peak was one of those towns, so now I'm 'redeveloping it.

elle_driver: I love desert themed cities..I just wish there were more buildings that looked more appropriate in the desert here.

Allybaba: Thank you!!! There are only a few neighborhoods in my entire region that look really neat. In this journal, I over-glamorize them. Seriously, how many pictures of treasure coast, a town of only 3000, did I put up? haha.

-----NOW.... ON WITH THE LITTLE SHOW----------

recently, In the camel lands of Sim Nation....a few luxury suburbs up north have been developing....

The Town of Strawberry Mansion. Located next to stepford and Palmdale.

    smansion4.jpg

    smansion1.jpg

    smansion3.jpg

La Laguna (La la land). A small suburb north of Treasure Coast and Polo Beach. Since there's no commercial or industrial, this is like a big neighborhood surrounding a lake. A resort is in the planning stages. This town is so perfect and quiet, it's like you're living in lala land...24/7. hence the nickname.

    lala12.jpg

    lala3.jpg

    MORE LAND FOR GROWTH!
    lala2.jpg

Again, thanks for the comments, and sorry for the long wait between updates. I promise the next one will come sooner haha. And YES I will have an updated transportation map!!

    Ride that Camel!!
