Glenni, the texture on the smaller building, it looks like it's almost streched to much.........Maybe try playing around with that, otherwise it looks awesome

It sure does look very nice! You sure do update a lot. But I guess you do work very hard. Great work on the detailing inside.

Nice work Glenni, and great improvement too! Though I think you should Tweak the textures a bit on the smaller office building, the rest looks really cool! 44.gif

    take care

Looking good Glenni, maybe you should use Omni lights for nightlighting as I think they'd make it more realistic (although they can be a pain sometimes!!!)

Gary, do they make it look as if there are lights on inside the room as opposed to a wall of light.

Yes, that's right, Omni lights act in much the same way as real lights, ie throwing light in all directions wheras the standard Maxis nightlighting just adds a bright texture to the surfaces it is applied to.  Where buildings have transparant windows, Omni lights look far more realistic.  The disadvantage is they increase rendering time and can require a lot of tweaking to get the effect right.

How about you try to use some Omnis as nitelites?  It will make your BATs look more realistic.  Without the omnis plazas can look quiet dull and dark.  Nice job on your little blue building though, is this one going to be unsafe somewhere too so your hospital can get more business?

Hmmn, try reducing the Intensity setting of the omnis, that should make them a bit less dazzling!  That's the thing with Omnis, they take a lot of tweaking to get right but it's worth the effort as they look a lot more realistic.

Im gonna try making Norway's tallest building now.Radison SAS Oslo plaza.

    it is 37 floors.
    117meters/384ft
    and built in 1990.

the main promblem is getting fitting window textures. PS.sorry for the a bit big pics.only way to show it completely you see.41.gif

Very difficult, indeed. Those buildings with mirroring facades are always very difficult to do... Maybe you could try a sky texture, with a bit lower glossiness and a higher specular level.

So impressive, Glenni!  That's good work.  It seems Norway has loads of nice architecture...it is nice to see some Scandinavian bats coming out. 44.gif

Glenni, great building for a BAT! Just think of one thing! When You see the building from the ground like in Your pics, the sky is reflected in the glass. But when You see the building from the sky (like in Sim City), the ground is reflected in the glass.

Many Sim City buildings (even including some Maxis ones!!) have reflections of sky and clouds in the window but that is totally wrong! You never see that in an aerial view!

    Example:
