Hi, Zerkezi!

I played both Max Payne 1 & 2. Not exactly a fan, but I enjoyed the Bullet Time a lot, best FPS feature if you ask me. 2.gif

Do you have some links or news perchance?

Never played any of them, never really appealed to me. If MP3 (lol... mp3) looks any good though I might try it out.

It's been a while since they released the last game although the end credits of mp2 did hint to a sequel. It should be very good seeing how rockstar are behind this.

afaik, alan wake is the replacement for max payne 3 (an kinda the neverending story of developping a game, announce it and reschedule it)

a few years ago, there was like the announcement of max payne 3, and then, all of a sudden, it was alan wake that everybody talked about and max payne 3 got lost.

but then again, there's a lot in the grapevine about MP3 recently, tracing back to Tak2/R* so...

Since I don't feel the necessity of a new thread as this one exists already:

Just in hot news from Rockstar, Max Payne 3 will be released March 2012. Linkie

I'm not really interested in Max Payne 3 at all atm. I played both Max Payne 1&2 and both were decent games. The studio who invented Max Payne Remedy isn't making the third installment they moved over to making other projects like Alan Wake. The reason I'm not interested is being mainly the setting changing from a dark and gritty NYC to somewhere in South America. I feel that NYC and the art direction in to old games were one of the things that made those games so good. But of course the game might come out great after all it's hard to tell at this point.

So here's yesterdays first teaser trailer of MP3:

Basically I am with you soumi. I don't like the change either. I am still playing Max Payne 1 and 2 these days because no game can deliver the special film noir atmosphere (sadly not even LA Noire was able to catch it properly).

From the looks of it, Max Payne now seems to be nothing but a decent action game with good graphics riding on the same "south-america-promotion-wave" a couple of movies ride on already. no offense - the setting allows for a whole different approach to storylines thanks to the crime soaked environment - but this does not come in favor of a once film noir inspired series.

but I hope the first impressions fools me/us here...
