    Dear friends, first of all it is time to thank you all for loyalty and understanding that I didn't update during more than a week. I felt that it was wrong at that time - although at later thought, best thing would have been to carry on as usual - never give up on life.

    I decided to postpone the Hickups update little bit, because material is not yet ready. Also I decided to divide the last update into two parts, from which you will now see the first - selected shots from Cassis. In the second Cassis part, there is only one picture... but it consists of 24 parts, and it is actually a giant mosaic in zoom 4...

    So, welcome to my update 23a

    First we have a little look at another chateau that finds itself in Cassis... he is the owner of the original grenadine drink patent (made of cassis, which is actually black berry)

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisEstChateauNuit.jpg align=baseline>

    Then a glimpse at the local church...

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisEstEglise.jpg align=baseline>

    Of course we have garden center here...

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisEstGardenCentret.jpg align=baseline>

    The station at night

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisGareNuit.jpg align=baseline>

    Monument for the deceased in recent terrorist attacks around the world...

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisEstMuistomerkki.jpg align=baseline>

    Tio Pepe's cafe...

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisEstTioPepe.jpg align=baseline>

    Le Gare Central at daytime

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisEstGareCentral.jpg align=baseline>

    And finally typical French shopping center with InterMarch

    Mickebear, you're an artist with those w2w-bats! I love especially station at night and at tio pepe!

    It's a pity that this CJ is going to end (or is there is a possibility to make you go on???)

    Now it is time to thank you all personally...

    pikatchoum: thanks - I wasn't sure if La Madeleine was a church or not... My Marsalia has for some reason always had also a Parisian touch to it
    Jerebannus XVI: First of all, thanks to your support, but furthermore, I hope that you are alright now.
    b3rglund: Welcome to Marsalia - Bienvenue sur Marsalia and thanks to drop by! (why sur, not

    Nice work Mick, continually loving how detailed your cities are, that is really amazing with all the trails and everything, not only do you use beautiful BATs, but wonderful parks to enrich the area. I really do like the way you have used the puzzle pieces to form an eyecandy bridge to the embanked area above the train station, that is a great idea.

    Welll...................... I checked my mega mosaic, and IF I would put it here, it would be around 5 MB jpg picture, so I am now taking precautions to actually put it on my own webspace, and placing the mosaic it to a single web page, and link it to here, rather than anything else... So, what I will do now is just post the last Cassis pictures, and a thumbnail of the large region...

    So here is the thumbnail (it is about 8.3% of the original size). Don't worry about the stupid white lines, I'll fix it tomorrow. I will also make the thing clickable, so that you just need to click on the thumbnail to get the actual page.

    Instead, while you are waiting for the big beast to appear here, here are some (night) shots from the lower part of the town.

    Gare Ouest de Cassis - at daylight

    CassisCentreAroundStationDa.jpg

    And same at night

    Beach front living...

    CassisCentreBeachFront.jpg

    And some hotels on the beach (attn Palmgurl... palms 1.gif)

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisCentreBeachHotels.jpg align=baseline>

    Closer look at the station at night - I really think that this is one of the most pittoresque stations in the whole SimCity4

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisCentreGareNuit.jpg align=baseline>

    The town heart

    Old lighthouse at the harbour

    New lighthouse...

    Some villas on the cliff... note the limousines in the entrances...

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisCentreVillasOnCliffs.jpg align=baseline>

    And finally, nature reserve...

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//CassisCentreNatureReserve.jpg align=baseline>

    Until tomorrow with the big thing...

    Beautiful updates Micka.  I really like the way you transition and cross transition some of your transportation networks.  Very original.  Looking forward to the Monster Mosaic.

    Your cj is just awesome. It gives me so much inspiration to build a large european city. It so detailed and planned and it looks big. How many people live there? Anyway, keep it up! You are doing a great job on this cj. It's certainly on of the best here around on ST.

    Just a quick reply... Villas are from SimGoober and available here in STEX, the station is Japanese, found the link in Massive Japanese BAT Gallery thread.

    The beast is ready, but I have trouble loading ONE photo, due to my ISP cranks 26.gif

    Be aware that the page loads enormously long time, due to heavy images...

    You really do have an eye with using the w2w buildings. The way the supermarkets fit in next to the w2w buildings also is a credit to your building style. Also catching my eye in particular were the heart of town (reminded me a bit of Luxembourg or somewhere in Flanders) and the old lighthouse area, especially with the use of the ped mall tiles.
