This is a good project idea Deep Thought, good luck with it! The best thing about SCS is how expansive it can be with all of the different types of societies that could be added. I recommend you go to Tilted Mills forum and pitch all of your ideas to the actual developers of the game. Doing it here will just get you criticized (as you've seen), because this forum has some polarized SC4 supporters.

The developers monitor it pretty often, they'll probably be happy to hear about some of the new ideas.

One suggestion Deep Thought... and I really do mean no offence by posting this.

I appreciate that you are very passionate about this game and enjoy fantasizing about possibilities to do with the game. However... I suggest that you spend your time either playing the game that you love or concentrating on school (if you are at school that is).

If neither of these alternatives appeal then by all means, write an essay about all your ideas, organise them into a logical manner, and post it off to TiltedMill. I am sure it will be better received there than here on a forum that loves the original SimCity series.

Now I'm currently working on writing my idea on the Tilted Mill Forum, whre the game developers can read it and send it to other developing companies, to have this as a future project. Now, I do hope this will go way up to the SimCity Man himself, Will Wright.

I really hope so.

Sadly Will Wright doesn't work on the development team, you should draft to copies one for Tilted Mill and one for Maxis if you hope to get it to Will Wright.

Hey, I haven't played the game yet, and I notice that a bunch of you know enough about it to bash it, and if that's the case you must own a copy of it. I would like to check it out for myself, so if any of you who are discontented with your copy could send it to me for analysis. I would appreciate the chance to form my own opinion of the game.

SCA would maybe have a quarter billion constructions, in total. And when (if) the first trailer comes, it will show different cities never seen before in city simulations. Like the Potter city, retrofuturistic, warzones, jungle Russian, Ancient Atlantis, capitol of music, one HUGE skyscraper in the middle of nowhere etc.

Suddenly CJ:s got so much more interesting, since no city is the other alike in style.

And the background music for the first trailer would probably be

Many people have wondered why I have to make a big list about this imaginary game, when I like Societes.

Answer: It's the best entertaining software right now, by me. But it can never beat my mind-blowing philosophy about the future. So this is the case, the best for me is never good enough to me.

But, I can't sit on a chair all day thinking. I need to play the games to get inspiration. Because, which alien can solve all problems in Earth, when it haven't even heard of this planet.

So this my normal going-through for me:

1. Do

2. Think

3. Say

And it's not just me. It's the universal going-through of games the the player loves or hates.

DT....if you like SMS, good for you. Everyone is different. However, this particular site is not filled to capacity with SMS lovers, so perhaps your thoughts would be better received at a place catering to SMS lovers. Your NOT going to convince anyone to trade something they love for something they have played & despise. Why try?? Just enjoy your game, if that's the one you like, & find a community of others that also have fun with SMS.
