Ok so I bet you guys get this all the time but I just cant get any bat I download to work? Ive tried some low wealth houses downloaded them and installed (self installer) start up simcity, zone low wealth housing in a new region and nothing just the boring original housing grows! Ive googled it and searched on here and cant find anything.. Also anything I download and install thats plopable only the base of it works and I dont get any of the building?

Im using simcity 4 deluxe

I have Gmax, Lot Editior, SC4 BAT and the plugin manager all installed (dont know whether I need them or not I read in another tutorial for lighting of bats that I did)

Any advice for me?

Thanks

If you want to see them in game that badly, get the 'Block all Maxis Buildings' mod... Its abit pointless if you have hardly any plugins though since all you'll see is swathes of the houses you just downloaded.

As Jason says though, they'll grow eventually... what building did you download? Obviously, if its a Skyscraper, you won't see it grow untill your city reaches a certain Population.

edit-

Also, make sure you have the needed dependancies wich should be listed in the readme. If you don't, you'll just see a Brown Box...

The NAM has nothing to do with buildings growing or not, that's a fact.

I've been using many of Don Miguel's buildings myself (they're great, aren't they?), and I can confirm that they definitely grow.

Of course, they don't grow in all tilesets (=building styles), so if you're using all tilesets simultaneously and forgot to reduce the default tileset change interval of 5 years, you may have to wait for up to 20 SimYears to even get a chance to see them grow. Try reducing the tilesets to Chicago 1890 and NY 1940, activate "grow all tilesets simultaneously" (or whatever the exact wording is in the English-language version of SC4) and set the change interval to 1 year nonetheless. Then build and be patient. Some grow at later stages so your city needs to have reached a certain size, and some buildings just are a bit harder to grow than others. But as I said, I can confirm that e.g. all the medium-size apartment blocks do actually grow without problems, and the same applies to the rowhouse sets. Haven't tried some of the others yet, but I don't suppose they are screwed up, seeing that the rest works fine.

Just to make sure, I understand you know how to install BATs, and you didn't just copy a ZIP file into your plugins folder and expect the game to magically guess at the content, right? Just asking; these things happen.

    EDIT

Don Miguel's stuff is NOT all low-wealth. Maybe you're using his low-wealth stuff exclusively (your post isn't entirely clear in this respect), but it can't hurt to check whether the buildings you want to see really belong to the category and wealth level that are currently in demand in your city.
