So amazing I can barely move...

Those AZ style ranch houses are so awesome. They totally fit perfectly with everything. It was a normal update until you showed the picture of...that...mall!! OMG that was incredible! It blew me away! Magnificent!

Let's see...amazing...awesome...perfectly...incredible...magnificent...nope, no superlative repeats. Great job with the reply, Jill2.gif

Okay, Okay!  So I know it has literally been a month since I last updated, and I'm not going to make any excuses like the site being down or anything.  I am sorry it has been so long, that is all I can say!   I have two recent overview pics of the current downtown area.  A lot of progress has been made, at least I think so!  First I will do the replies, and if you see one addressed to you and are thinking,"what is he talking about, I never commented here"... bear in mind that it was a month ago, lol!

lucky7 - Thanks, and I think I PMed your answer a month ago, but if I am wrong let me know! lol

jjune4991 - Thank you,a nd the mall is on the STEX. (or it was)

dfnva - Thanks, glad you like my suburbs and the use of those houses.  They are going to be used a lot!  Thanks for your comments!

    panthersimcity4 - Thank you!

ky72x - Thanks a lot!  I know I use many of the same lots over and over...  so I'm glad you don't mind that!  And I'm glad you like my mall area!

    packersfan - Thank you!

Schulmanator - Thanks Schulmanator!  I hope you are able to retrieve all your pages!

    Hester - Thank you!

    Almighty Nienaber - Thanks!

abcvs - Thank you for your comments and support.  There are no water restrictions in Copper Basin, as of now!

jacqulina - Thanks Jacky!  I always appreciate your support and I feel bad that I haven't been on here as much and visiting your Kabin like I said I would. 15.gif

    gabry85 - Thanks Gabry!

jjune4991 - No it's not based on a real town, I added that to the map, and some of those interstate connections.  But there is a Copper Basin, Arizona - I think it is more of a geographical area Southeast of Phoenix.  Thanks!

    Explodingsims - Thank you!

bobinator - Thanks, I have more suburbs coming up for you!

abcvs - Neither can I...   lol!

    jacqulina - thanks again, Jacky!

Jill Jacobs - I think you can barely move because your leg is broken!  3.gif  I'm just playing with ya!  Thank you for your outstanding use of superlatives!  hehe

dbranch - Thanks, yeah - there are a lot of malls!

rusummer1 - No, the TJMaxx wasn't photoshopped - it came with SimGoobers pack. Thanks!

dbranch - I don't think it has.  Thanks again!

luker91 - I think I can dig up some brochures for Nice Butte, haha!  Thanks!

    panthersimcity4 - Fo shizzle!  thanks!

Fresh Prince of Wmbg - Thanks, I didn't know that either!

    lucky7 - Thanks again!

Voulpiotis - Thank you!  Sorry you had to wait.

Here are the day and night aerials, I have added 8 new subdivisions and expanded a 9th, as well as added a few more commercial areas. I will have close ups for you soon...

You've captured the true spirit of the urban southwest with Copper Basin. It's brilliant! I also love the suburbs too, houses with the same-styled roofs over and over. And I can't forget that airport.... can't wait to see more of it. Keep it up. 44.gif44.gif44.gif

That's a very cool and natural looking skyline you show there! The green areas also form a nice contrast towards the terrain mod you're using 2.gif

(opening pause for effect) ... (screams) It's reality show update time!!!  Okay, I stole that from "The Soup"!  haha

Ntq$310 - I'm not sure what that means, but thank you!

jjune4991 - Thanks! Here are your close-ups, it wasn't my fault this time!  haha

    luker91 - Thank you, luker!

Schulmanator - Thanks, here it is!

TV-VCR - Thank you very much!  Glad you like those houses, and we will be seeing more of the airport sometime down the road.

    Almighty Nienaber - Thank you!

Dargor - Thank you, glad you like my skyline!

lucky7 - Thank you, hope you like this update!

In this update we get to tag along Jill Jacobs as she does a little house hunting in Copper Basin...

Pic 21.1 - Jill starts out by looking at some single family homes on Copper Basin's West side.  She likes the homes in these new editions, but feels there may be too much traffic noise from the multiple freeways nearby...

    21up1-1.jpg

Pic 21.2 - She then looks at another West side housing edition called Copper Ridge.  She loves the rolling landscape of this area, but the homes are too far from where she works...

    21up2-1.jpg

Pic 21.3 - She then looks at an up-and-coming area on the East side of Copper Basin...

    21up3-1.jpg

Pic 21.4 - Here is a daytime view for ya...

    21up4-1.jpg

Pic 21.5 - The first place she checks out on this side of town are the Broken Condominiums.  She liked the condo, but she would really have to stretch her budget to live here, so it turns out this place was a bust after all...

    21up5-1.jpg

Pic21.6 - Here it is at night...

    21up6-1.jpg

Pic 21.7 - She is thirsty, so she stops by the local QuikTrip to grab a soda or "pop" depending on what you prefer...

    21up7-1.jpg

Pic 21.8 - Here it is at night, which has no relevance to the story... I just wanted to show a night picture since I made the gas station...3.gif

    21up8-1.jpg

Pic 21.9 - She then looks at a new subdivision called Eden Prairie, and falls in love with it.  It is also in close proximity to a Chevron station (made by me!)...

    21up9-1.jpg

Pic21.10 - Here it is at night...

    21up10-1.jpg

Pic21.11 - Here is the South entrance to the subdivision... right across from the Busted Condominiums and the Church of the Immaculate Conception...

    21up11-1.jpg

Pic 21.12 - Jill finds a home she likes with a pool, so she can throw awesome pool parties and invite all the movers and shakers of Copper Basin...

    21up12-1.jpg

Pic21.13 - Jill is the most prominent female in the city, having just won the Miss Arizona pageant and constructing the headquarters of her fashion label called "Jill Jacobs".  The building is in the shape of a double "J", and is also home to the Jill Jacobs Fashion Institute...

    21up13.jpg

Pic 21.14 - Here it is at night...

    21up14.jpg

Pic 21.15 - And here is a night overview of the city...

    21up15.jpg

There you go, hope you enjoy! 9.gif

those are some of the more interesting suburbs to be in a cj in the long time! I really like the houses and your Chevron station(is it on the STEX?).

You've really captured the spirit of sunbelt sprawl with the mix of taller buildings and commercial strips scattered right next to houses.

An Idea though might be to refocus on the underdeveloped areas around downtown and put in some earlier gridded urban style development, perhaps riddled with industrial areas and vacant lots. Kind of like LA.

very nice story here! congradulations to Jill for finding a new home (though i dont know which of the 3 you showed were it!) and making it big. and that west side freeway system is intense. i dont think anyone would get used to that noise...ever! oh! and great BAT work...if thats what you used. those two stores are really cool looking.

Jill! ha! you're funny! w/o me your cj is just aweso. that took me awhile to get that!

lol OMG this is the coolest update ever. Very neat way to show off different areas of the city...and...your BATs?? I agree that those suburbs are some of the coolest in any CJ, but I'm sure it means more coming from someone that's seen more than a couple CJs.

I'm awful flattered that I'm the most prominent woman in the city. And that JJ building...43.gif PERFECT! Without me, your CJ is just aweso

Yeah, don't worry about being busy. In the past month, I've also been super busy, and have been falling behind in countless CJ's. Luckily, I only have two more days of school left, so that'll change! 2.gif

Nice update, Chris! The avenue intersections look great with the buildings placed around them. Speaking of buildings, those gas stations look awesome! Especially the Chevron one, you really ought to release them. Loving the night shots, too. 4.gif

Movers AND shakers? Jill, you've got it all.

Someone should BAT some Southwestern houses. Your suburban updates are very good, but it would be nice if the game included more than one type of house. The Maxis buildings don't do you justice.

great update... i really liked picture 21.2 ! the hills make it look very nice! jill seems to have it all. large "soda", and a great home. however i don't really like the railroad running through her backyard. might disturb some of her killer shindigs? idk though maybe a retaining wall or something? can't wait for more!

oh and you really should upload those gas stations! they look awesome!
