Anybody have a list for how much traffic each type of road/highway can handle? I thought I saw data on it some time back but can't seem to locate it.

There aren't any limits to what different street and road types can carry in volume - they could potentially carry infinite traffic...

Their limits are their capacities before they get clogged with traffic...

You really have to use only common sense here... example, 1000 cars a day would be hell for quiet countryside streets, but would only be a trickle on a highway...

I'm sorry, there really isn't any answers clear to this... As I said, there are no concrete limits as to the capacity, it all depends on how much congestion occurs... Hope you understand.

As to the data you might have seen, I unfortunately have no idea what that could have been.

I’m a guy who just can’t guy right.

Actually that's what I meant by limits... what types of roads can handle how much traffic before it becomes a problem.

I'm sure I've seen this type of data somewhere too - I suggest you check the nam threads, they would probably be the most likely place to have anything like that and do a couple of forum searches with different keywords,

The "limits" can be modified and is many times. For example the NAM now has simulators built in which you may choose. Each modifies those values in various ways. In your "traffic" view set to "volume" you may actually see the values for your transportation as a percent as I recall. A road will handle considerably over it's capacity before it becomes really useless. The simulator will reroute traffic before that point if it has options. There are also various "custom" simulstors available.. for example the High Speed Rail mod changes the simulator.
