Hi, I keep experiencing a C2D in my cities recently. My specs are: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Intel Core2 Quad Q9000, 2.0 Ghz ATI Radeon HD 4650 8 Gb ram I was wondering, I have heard that SC4 hates multi core computers, so does anyone know how to run the game in single core mode? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

Hi, this is the first time I have posted any pictures of a city I have built in Sim City 4. I am posting because I would really like some helpful advice and/or opinions on how my city looks. Also, I did not feel this was really meant for the city journal tab, so out of confusion I posted here. Here are some basic stats! Name : Caldonia Pop : ~ 300,000 Income/Expenses : 91,869/ 79,990 Mods Used : NAM, Road Top Mass Transit, Functional Landmarks, Realistic Water, Industry Quadrupler (thanks to all who created these) I should point out that I do not use any kind of mod that allows an unfair cheat, like infinate money, or no air pollution, etc. Also, I have some lots that I have downloaded, that are used here Riverrock Shopping Centre by JaWood Microwave Rectenna Plant by Somy Black Hole Water Works Glass Tower by Hexy Artificial Tree by PEG (thanks again!) Anyway, I hope I post these correctly, so you don't have to click on the links. Thanks for your comments/opinions/advice! that is an overview of almost all of the city that is the shopping centre, plus the microwave plant, along with what i feel is a pretty interesting avenue system one of my favorite parts of the city! I tried to make a miniature central park and it really sparked some comercial demand in the area! the repetition of buildings could have been done without, but oh well one of the oldest parts of my city, along with a golf course. go rich sims! (just north of mini central park) a closer view of the downtown. i tried making a really dense downtown on this island, but am now facing abandonment issues in some of my skyscrapers. any pointers would be greatly appreciated. showing off the airport and university. this is also another favorite location of mine. it is one of the most green looking spots on the map when zoomed out really far. just a close up of the rich folk. i find it funny they would want to live so close to the airport, but hey! anything can happen. Thanks for reading!

Worst City Planning
ron.robinson123 replied to LivingInThePast's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
I don't know as far as city planning goes, San Diego is horrible but great at the same time! Horrible, because as far as mass transit goes, we have a trolley. Great because, well look at a road map. The freeway system is excellent, or I think so, at least. -
Welcome to Hippieville! (And it needs your help!)

The Prima Strategy Guide
ron.robinson123 replied to toll_booth's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I have a better chance of asking people on this forum, than seeking a book, running a vanilla version of SC4. And i didnt even know that there was a strategy guide out there for this game. -
Ah, thank you! Yes, I got the deluxe edition, so I am safe. thanks everyone!

are you positive, because I did check the nam. I had to uninstall it because when i did install it, i did not know it was left sided driving and all of my turn lanes were screwed up. the mod, however, did not change mine, but i did manage to enable left side driving turn lanes.

So I lost my old copy of Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition, and then bought a new laptop (go windows 7!) and repurchased the sim city 4 game online at amazon.com. My question is, in my old copy, everyone drove on the right side of the road, and in this copy, everybody drives on the left side. Although it is not a huge issue, it is a minor inconvienance, and if there was a mod out there that could swap the sides of the road that they drive on, could someone let me know? I have searched before, and only came across a post saying the side of the road that sims drive on is essentially hard coded into the game, and is not able to be modified. Any help would be appreciated, so thanks in advance!

AginCourt, I completely understand what you are saying here....the powerplants definately are not realistic. and it just gets worse as they get more expensive, I mean look at the hydrogen powerplant, if I remember correctly its like 10,000 simoleons a month for 50,000 kw/h? thats a dollar for ever 5 kw/h. Blah. and sc4boy, i never could get any cheats to work except the "weaknesspays" and "you don't deserve it". i have no clue why but no power cheat wouldnt work at all....when I deleted the powerplant, it would say i had no power! (big surprise )
