The War of 2272 was the first proof that interstellar warfare was possible. although it led to the collapse of the USSR, it also helped humanity reach towards the future. many new technologies were developed during the war, including but not limited to the Improved jumpdrive, atmospheric mag-assisted descent(AMAD), and the Sherman-Hawking Gravity well device (commonly refered to as the Black Hole gun). Although there were many triumphs during the war, there were many losses as well, most of all the 17.8 billion human deaths, and the extinction of many other life forms.

Descent reveals their colony is relatively new.

Industry appears to support the colony only.

Excellent start, I like the format. Realistically written alt-history, it shows great promise.

One piece of advice, get thee to the STEX! There are great lots for your SF CJ, and a Maxis blocker to make sure only the plugin buildings grow.
