No trees in SCS?

Why when I play my game there is no trees/ foilage or rocksin the playable area?

The out of bound area has trees.

please help me.

Sorry, I have no idea, but I don't think there is a tree/folliage planter option YET...there is an exchange on the official site here (link).  I hope you find what you're looking for there my friend, and welcome to Simtropolis!

Check your detail settings? Some of those things disappear if you turn some of the detail levels down.

...you can get to the planter under the terrain painter menu.

The base game comes with a couple of trees, there is also a mod on the exchange for additional trees. I maxed my graphics so that i could see every detail. i agree with borisv that it could be your settings.

Well my graphical settings are all on ultra with no lag or anything. My resolution is like 800 x 600 or something though, could that affect it?

 Also I tried the tree planter that comes with the game, the trees show up and when I click it takes my money, but no trees!?

Note that all the trees/ shrubs/ rocks in those pictures are out of playable area.
