BAT LOT ect on Macs

I am almost about to get a new intel mac, and I was wondering... Is it possible to run BAT, LOT editor ect through bootcamp on windows? Do you need the windows version of Simcity to run the bat? Does anyone else use this method? What else would I need other than Bat, Lot editor and GMax? With running windows on my mac would it be a virus concern? or should I not go on the internet while running windows? And can I run windows in a separate window so I can also access my Mac or is that too hard for the machine? And also Night lighting, I know that bwatterud and maybe LivingInThePast does some. But How would I go about Night lighting My buildings for Macs. Is it a simple process or would it be better to Have had a look around what is needed to convert the lighting to Macs first.

You would need a copy of SC4 for windows to run BAT and LE, but that would only set you back 5 to 10 bucks these days.

As long as you stay on reputable sites, viruses shouldn't be a problem. A some internet providers (I know Comcast does) have free antivirus programs, so if yours does, you might want it.

You could run Windows in a window, I think you'd still need Parallels for that, which costs more money.

As for nightlighting, it's a fairly straightforward process, but you need to know what you're doing. This thread has instructions on how to nightlight buildings.

EDIT: Another question. Do I need the windows version of SimCity 4 because I need it for the bat or because I need it to download the bat?

You don't need it to download BAT (you can get it off of Zel's filesharing site), I've tried running it without SC4 installed, and it doesn't work.

I just thought "would I need SC4?" but I do.
