Great! Good luck at UD. You have to give me all the details: what course of study will you be pursuing and what you like about the college. And, of course, if they have a semester abroad program exchange with the Universoty of St. Paul!

I look forward to your return.

The Battle of Narya, Part 2

    July 25, 0165AL (2021)

    DPM2-33-1.jpg

    Mloret's Flagship

mloretzh0.jpgMloret: Good, their fleet is crumbling. Soon, it will be destroyed, and then we will be able to deal with the shield on our own terms.

Mloret sat back in his throne-like chair on the bridge and watched the battle unfold in front of him.

    DPM2-33-2.jpg

    The Ancaron ship

The ship shook as a superweapon blast carved a trench along the midsection of the ship.

    mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Shields are down!

    cormanibm9.jpgCormani: I noticed. It's time to go.

    DPM2-33-3.jpg

    The Masura

valatv3.jpg Vala: Shields are at 67%.

    michaelucgs0.jpgMichael: Good, we're going in.

    valatv3.jpg Vala: What?

michaelucgs0.jpgMichael: We have to, this is the only ship that can take out Mloret's flagship, if it is taken out the rest of Mloret's fleet won't be as big of a problem.

valatv3.jpg Vala: Are you sure about this?

michaelucgs0.jpgMichael: Yes, it's the only way, other than a kamikaze run by the Ancaron ship.

    danielucgrz9.jpgDaniel: I agree.

    valatv3.jpg Vala: With who?

danielucgrz9.jpgDaniel: It's time to go. Full speed at Mloret.

The Masura began changing directions, and sped up as it aimed directly at Mloret's flagship, flying though large amounts of Blikora weapons fire.

    DPM2-33-4.jpg

valatv3.jpg Vala: Shields are at 32%

    michaelucgs0.jpgMichael: Firing drones now.

About 50 drones shot out from the bottom of the ship and flew toward the flagship.

    DPM2-33-5.jpg

    Mloret's Flagship

    mloretzh0.jpgMloret: Mladanitla.

The others on the bridge looked at him as a blight flash of light engulfed him, as well as his seat, and when it faded, he was gone. About the same time, the lights on the ship flickered, then just 3 seconds later, the entire ship shook as the drones penetrated the shield, and began ripping though the hull and main systems, and lights went out for good soon after. However, they didn't have much time to wonder what would happen, as a drone quickly ripped though the floor and exploded, exposing the bridge to the vacuum of space.

    DPM2-33-6.jpg

    The Masura

    michaelucgs0.jpgMichael: See?

    valatv3.jpg Vala: it's still there.

danielucgrz9.jpgDaniel: But it no longer has any power, and is full of holes.

    michaelucgs0.jpgMichael: Exactly.

Just then, the rest of Mloret's fleet began jumping to hyperspace, at least the ships still capable of doing so.

valatv3.jpg Vala: What about self the flagship's self destruct?

    danielucgrz9.jpgDaniel: We'd notice a power buildup.

michaelucgs0.jpgMichael: Anyway, we'll head back to the rest of the fleet, just in case.

    dpm2191jf0.jpg

The Narya RDPM, basement level 12

Rear Admiral Laura stared at the computer screens, not sure if she believed what was being shown on them.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: What just happened?

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: It looks like we just won. Mloret's flagship is disabled, and the rest of his fleet has fled after the flagship was taken out.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: You mean, that one ship managed to take out the flagship, which is many times larger than it is, all by itself?

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: It is an al'Hasiq ship.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Well, that makes sense.

Just then the full impact of what had happened hit, and they began cheering loudly.

    To be continued...

    Myoria

    DPM2-33-7.jpg

    nickay1.jpgNick: Downtown Vartak.

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Interesting how the tallest buildings are on the outside of downtown.

    nickay1.jpgNick: Indeed.

    DPM2-33-8.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: The terminus for Myoria's high speed rail line. And a creepy looking tower.

    DPM2-33-9.jpg

nickay1.jpgNick: Of course there is a waterfront area as well.

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: With plenty of buildings actually out on the water.

    DPM2-33-10.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Downtown, up near Vartak City Park.

    DPM2-33-11.jpg

nickay1.jpgNick: And the northwestern part of downtown, at night.

    DPM2-33-12.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: And the whole downtown area, again, at night.

    nickay1.jpgNick: I can see that.

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: I think someone broke the lights in the tallest building.

    Comments:

    "Mladanitla" means "I leave."

penguin007: You could just look at the city pics, those usually aren't sci-fi.

Schulmanator: There are a lot of planes that keep flying over. Might be because of the nearby air force base. 3.gif

    Hester: And it's back.

    Patricius Maximus: Maybe.

Zelgadis: Sort of... that and I forgot to bring the Celestia data files for the space backgrounds when I came, so I had to go back home to get them.

    Hester2: And here is more.

Leech10: Simcity 4 runs so much after on the new computer. Especially in a full city. 3.gif

    Mloret's Secret

    July 25, 0165AL (2021)

    dpm2191jf0.jpg

    The Narya RDPM

valatv3.jpg Vala:  Daniel said i could stay here, can I?

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: You were the one who allowed us to get the Masura, right?

    valatv3.jpg Vala:  Yes.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: And where are you from?

    valatv3.jpg Vala:  Amanz.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: What is wrong with going back there?

danielucgrz9.jpgDaniel: We uhh.. kind of stole the Masura from the Amanz Pirates.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: I see.

valatv3.jpg Vala:  They hadn't taken it yet, so it really wasn't stealing.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Yes, you could stay here.

    valatv3.jpg Vala:  Yay!

danielucgrz9.jpgDaniel: Now if you don't mind, i would like to find something more comfortable to wear.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Yes, I imagine you would want to do so.

Vala left the room, dragging Daniel along by the hand, and Daniel was still wearing the disguise he had from before the battle. Just after they left, Mardon, Cormani, and Real Admiral Laura walked in.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Why is Daniel wearing a skirt?

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Long story. You might want to ask him. Or Vala. What are the results from the examination of Mloret's flagship?

    cormanibm9.jpgCormani: It's underpowered.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: How exactly?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: It has 4 power stations, each with 4 ZEGs, but these are unable to power it at the level that we have seen it preform at, according to our current knowledge of Dlorwani technology. Even if we assume that Mloret managed to get a 50% increase in output from the ZEGs, it still isn't enough to allow his flagship to do what we saw it do.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Apparently, it would not be able to fire any of the superweapon blasts, or if Mloret did increase the output of the ZEGs, then it would be able to fire a superweapon about every minute or so.

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Correct. It was firing its superweapons much more often that that, sometimes even two or three of them at a time. We believe that there was an additional power source located inside the ship, possibly on a Blikora, that Mloret took with him when he fled.

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: A hyperspace window opened just before his flagship was disabled, big enough to admit a Blikora, which is how the ship escaped, without it appearing from the outside that there was anyone escaping.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: So he opened a hyperspace window from within the ship? How?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: I'm not sure exactly, but once the ship is in hyperspace, it doesn't interact with objects in real-space, or at least not normal objects, just like one of our ships using its Wapbervkelx drive.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Is there anything else I should be concerned about?

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: We had just received intelligence from the Karani that Mloret has another one of these ships ready. if he brings in a larger fleet, which he is is easily capable of doing, along with another flagship, he could take out what is left of our defenses.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Any good news?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Yes, we've figured out how to switch Laur and Tifalka back to their original bodies.

    ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: How?

    cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Like this.

She placed her hand on Mardon's head, and after a few seconds, she lifted it off again. Mardon's body just stood there, doing nothing at all, while Cormani's took on a form somewhat between the way she usually locks, and the way Mardon looks.

Cormani-Mardon.jpgCormani+Mardon: All we do after that, is put the correct consciousness in the correct body. As long as they are willing to go though with it, it will be easy to do.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Okay, you have a go on that, if they are ready you could do it as soon as they are rested. And can you not talk at the same time? It sounds odd.

    Cormani-Mardon.jpgMardon: Sorry.

    Cormani-Mardon.jpgCormani: Sorry.

Cormani put her hand on Mardon's body's head again, and after a few seconds, she went back to her original form, and Mardon's body began moving again.

nickay1.jpgNick: Looks more like they're throwing paper towels in that tree...

    nickay1.jpgNick: Residential part of Ameville.

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Someone seems to have been cheap, so they just built 8 of the 12 houses on the block the same way...

    nikkitr8.jpgNikki: And all though town.

nickay1.jpgNick: The rest of the commercial area.

    DPM2-34-6.jpg

nickay1.jpgNick: The road heading off the top of the screen is the one that runs though Ameville, while the one going off the right side and bottom of the picture goes south to Wolema and Bargor, and north to Leechville and Murn Lake.

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Geothermal power plant for the Ameville area.

    Comments:

    Schulmanator: That's very possible...

anik: You'll have to wait and see.

zelgadis: Maybe in the first part of "The Battle of Narya?" 3.gif

It has no relation to the superweapon in New Carpathia II.

    Strange Happenings

    July 26, 0165AL (2021)

    dpm2191jf0.jpg

    The Narya RDPM

    cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Are you ready?

    laurbl7.jpgTifalka: Yes.

    tifalkalaursz3.jpg Laur: Indeed.

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Okay, I'm starting the transfer now.

Cormani placed her hands on Laur and Tifalka's heads and then the entire room seemed to fade away, to be replaced with nothingness. the only thing visible was Cormani, Laur, and Tifalka. (Both of who appeared to be in their own bodies)

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: Did it work?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: That was only stage one. As of right now, you are still in the wrong bodies.

tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: So what do we do?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Just relax. I will now remove your consciousnesses from your bodies, and you will both temporarily share my body.

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: Okay.

Several seconds passed, and there was no indications in the virtual world of anything happening, but in the real world, both Laur and Tifalka stopped moving, other than breathing and blinking.

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Now i will put you in the correct bodies.

Much the same thing happened in the real world as before, just opposite this time.Cormani then took her hands off of Laur and Tifalka's heads.

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: Did it work?

    cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Who are you?

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: Dr. Laur Hapsedut.

    tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: Then it worked.

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: Good.

tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: Now, when we find Valira...

    marikalfek6.jpgMarikalf: About her...

    tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: What?

laurende9.jpg Lauren: I've been doing some research... whenever i haven't been blowing up Mloret's ships that is, and I've found out who she is.

    tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: Who?

laurende9.jpg Lauren: She's my sister. Identical twin sister, to be more precise.

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: What?

laurende9.jpg Lauren: We were separated at birth, I stayed with my own family, while she went to live with another, I don't know what happened since.

tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: I never knew that...

laurende9.jpg Lauren: It's nothing to be concerned about.

    mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Hello.

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Wait, when did you get here?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Just after you finished switching them back, I've got news for you, but I don't think you're going to like it.

    laurende9.jpg Lauren: What?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: There is something else going on in the galaxy. Already, we have lost contact with one of the Rebellion's Blikorani, just after receiving a message talking about an unidentified ship that opened fire on them.

    cormanibm9.jpgCormani: What type of ship?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: They never said, they just said they were under attack, and then we lost contact.

    marikalfek6.jpgMarikalf: Where were they?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Right on the edge of the Sarim Nebula.

tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: But that doesn't mean its in the whole galaxy...

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: We've also received notices about other unknown ships, this time in the area around Vladarkum's space.

tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: That was the Dlorwani that We, err... DPM-6 found on our first mission?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Yes, him. Like the problem with the one here, we were unable to determine what the ship or ships were. However, at least no ships were destroyed there.

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: That's good.

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Not if we don't find out who they are, or where they're going. There signature on the Rebellion's long range sensors indicates they have never been seen before, and they use a totally new method of FTL travel. Also, there's a whole fleet of them.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: So we could be looking at a big problem if they're hostile.

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Correct. Now, I have to tell General Yelslew that the mind transfer was a success.

tifalkalaursz3.jpg Tifalka: What about the unknown ships?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: I told him just before I came here.

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: Oh.

    To be continued...

    Myoria

    DPM2-35-1.jpg

nickay1.jpgNick: This time you can see Jamur, the eastern suburb of Vartak.

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Home to Vartak's soccer stadium.

    DPM2-35-2.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: And while were on the topic of soccer stadiums...

nickay1.jpgNick: It looks a lot like the national stadium in Galesfe City...

    DPM2-35-3.jpg

nickay1.jpgNick: Residential area in the northern part of town.

    DPM2-35-4.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: And a commercial area farther to the south.

    DPM2-35-5.jpg

nickay1.jpgNick: And farther to the south.

    nikkitr8.jpgNikki: What is that?

nickay1.jpgNick: Looks like a farming skyscraper...

    DPM2-35-6.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Commercial and residential growth near the stadium.

    DPM2-35-7.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Isn't this the same as the first picture?

nickay1.jpgNick: No, it's moved over to the right a bit.

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Oh. Hey, I can see Ameville!

    Comments:

The next updates should have a little more action, in case you are wondering.

Schulmanator: It's actually painless... as long as you are willing.

zelgadis: You'll have to find an Ancaron or two.

    PhatHead: Thanks for the comment!

    Myon Strikes Back

    August 8th, 0165AL (2021)

    RDPM.jpg

    Myon RDPM

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Okay, you two will be leading the attack on one of Mloret's Blikora launch areas on Kluta, you will stay ahead of the AF-17s in two GS-1s.

    brad2ye7.jpgBrad: Puddle jumpers?

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Yes, if you want to call them that. You will be in charge of scanning for any active Blikorani, and taking them out so the AF-17s have a clear path to take out the remaining Blikorani. Now, the GS-1s have had their drone weapons fully replenished from the stock on the Masura, but seeing as there is still a limited number of drone weapons, don't waste them. If the target can be taken out using the weapons on the AF-17s, let them take care of it.

    brian2gk4.jpgBrian: We got it.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Good. Now before anyone goes though, an unmanned probe will be sent though the gate to make sure it is safe.

    DPM2-36-1.jpg

    Kluta gate

Unknown to Mloret, 2 cloaked jumpers came though the now active gate, followed by 24 AF-17s, which quickly grouped themselves into a formation.

    DPM2-36-2.jpg

brad2ye7.jpgBrad: Okay, there's one Blikora in the way.

    brian2gk4.jpgBrian: Firing drones!

A total of three drones were fired, two from Brian's jumper, and one from brad's, and they quickly slipped though the Blikora's shields and penetrated to the interior, where they took out the Blikora's propulsion and several other key systems. Whatever the drones didn't take care of, gravity did when the ship, now powerless, began dropping like a rock to the ground, quickly flattening a large area of forest below and several decks on the ship.

    DPM2-36-3.jpg

The formation of AF-17s, meanwhile, split into 3 groups of 8 and began their assault on the remaining Blikorani. Each AF-17 carried a modified missile, which was designed to penetrate deep into the Blikora and then explode, taking out a large section of the interior. Whatever the explosion didn't take out, the shrapnel did, seeing as the missile housing was designed to fragment into large chunks on detonation. For good measure, and because they had enough missiles to do so, they hit each Blikora twice.

    DPM2-36-4.jpg

This continued until all 8 of the Blikorani were destroyed. Well, maybe severely damaged would be a better term. Anyway these particular Blikorani would not be a threat for some time.

brad2ye7.jpgBrad: Okay, time to head back to the gate.

brian2gk4.jpgBrian: Hold on, I'm detecting 5 Khloratni approaching

    DPM2-36-5.jpg

The AF-17s opened fire with their main rapid-fire cannons...

    DPM2-36-6.jpg

...which quickly tore the Khloratni apart before they could return fire.

    DPM2-36-7.jpg

Once they got back to the gate, Brian dialed Myon and transmitted the IDC, and then everyone flew back to the RDPM.

    RDPM.jpg

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Did everything go well?

brad2ye7.jpgBrad: Yes, but I'm sort of concerned...

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Why?

brian2gk4.jpgBrian: It seemed too easy. There wasn't any real resistance at all. It was almost like he wanted that area to be destroyed...

    Myoria

    DPM2-36-8.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Barracks, barracks, and more barracks. Where are we?

nickay1.jpgNick: The Vartak Army-Air Force Base, just to the north of the naval base.

    nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Oh. That's a lot of barracks...

    DPM2-36-9.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: More barracks? How many are there?

nickay1.jpgNick: I never counted. Enough to hold over a thousand troops, at least.

    DPM2-36-10.jpg

nickay1.jpgNick: Of course, you need an ammo storage area to have an effective military base.

    DPM2-36-11.jpg

nikkitr8.jpgNikki: Some fighters and a bunch of small cargo planes.

nickay1.jpgNick: AF-12 fighter-bombers, to be exact. The rest most likely are either stored somewhere else, or are currently being used.

    Comments:

All the episodes from page 1 to 6 are now dated to match the rest of the episodes. And sorry for the delay, I had a bunch of homework.

    zelgadis: Glad you like it!

"They let us go. It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape."

    "Easy? You call that easy?"

    "They're tracking us."

    "Not this ship, sister."

Could that be why it was easy? Hmmm... 3.gif

Nice battle! And a sizeable base. Can you get the SNM lots to work? I can't get but 2-3 total to show up, no matter how many dependencies I download. Anywho, looks like an easy win for Myon (so far, anyway!)

    Wormholes

    August 9th, 0165AL (2021)

    DPM2-37-1.jpg

    Ancaron Supergate, Parel Orbit

Nothing remotely interesting appeared to be happening to a casual view of the area, but there was far more here than what can be seen with the unaided eye...

    dpm2191jf0.jpg

    Narya RDPM

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: That's odd...

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: What is it?

laurbl7.jpg Laur: I'm picking up an energy signature coming from the supergate.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: I though that thing was dead.

    laurbl7.jpg Laur: That's what I thought.

RA Laura walked over to the intercom system and pushed a button.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Mardon and Cormani, please report to the control room.

It took them about 5 minutes to get there, likely they were in one of the lower levels.

laurbl7.jpg Laur: Take a look at these readings.

They walked over and looked at the screen for a few seconds.

    cormanibm9.jpgCormani: That can't be right.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: But what is it?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: If those readings are correct, then it means there is an active wormhole connecting the supergate to another supergate. Where the other is, I don't know.

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Most likely, it's in the Small Magellanic Cloud, the supergate here's the only one known to exist in the Milky Way.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: But what about this gate being dead.

    mardonve9.jpg Mardon: It is.

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: But that just means it can't be operated from this end. Someone could still connect to it.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: So what do we do?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: If anything was going to happen, it would have happened already. As far as I know, unnecessary wormholes aren't created and then left open, if anyone was coming, then they would have came right after the wormhole opened.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Hold on, how come there doesn't seem to be a wormhole?

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: It only fully opens when a ship comes. Also, it is two way, so something can be sent though from our end.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Interesting... but would it be safe?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: We do not know what the actual Ancaron civilization is like. However, we do know that they aren't the type to indiscriminately attack someone.

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: So a probe would be safe. I recommend not sending people though, because we don't know when or if the wormhole would disconnect, or where it even goes. Other than the Masura, none of the ships we have are capable of intergalactic travel to get back, even between the Milky way and the SMC.

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Though it is possible that a properly equipped fleet could managed the distance in a couple of years, as long as extra fuel is brought, like how you got ships from Myon to here.

    RDPM.jpg

    Myon RDPM

    sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: Incoming wormhole!

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Any IDC?

sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: No, but I am receiving a transmission. It's from Narya.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: On screen.

An image of the Narya control room appeared on screen, with Mardon, Cormani, RA Laura, and Laur visible.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Somehow, the Ancaron supergate just activated.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: What? how?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Its only broken to the point that we can't connect to another gate from this one. Any other gate can, however, connect to it.

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: As to why its active, I don't know. Nothing's come though at all so far.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Would it deactivate after a certain amount of time if nothing came though?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: The supergate is not like the stargates. Once its active, it requires nearly no energy at all to keep running, the only real energy drain is when it is activated, and that is only from the first gate.

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Also, the wormhole is not a single direction wormhole like the stargate, so it would be possible to see what is on the other side.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: When did it activate?

laurbl7.jpg Laur: I first picked up the signal around half an hour ago. I'm not sure exactly when it started, but it wasn't activate when I last scanned that area yesterday.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Interesting. I'm coming there to find out more.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Okay, Narya out.

The screen went back to displaying various stargate parameters, and then the gate deactivated.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Dial Narya.

Sergeant Varmon deactivated the gate shield, then started the dialing process. However, just after the 3rd chevron engaged, the three chevrons went dark and then began to light up again.

    sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: Wait... Incoming wormhole?

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Raise the shield.

The shield activated just before the kawoosh appeared, which appeared smashed due to it being stuck behind the shield.

    sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: No IDC.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Is anything coming though?

    sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: No.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Odd.

Suddenly, a loud thud sounded though the gateroom, followed by a sound vaguely like water rushing though a pipe.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: What was that?

sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: Something's coming though the gate.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: What?

sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: I can't tell, it appears to be some sort of energy weapon, but I've never seen anything like it. Whatever it is, the shield's blocking it.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: But for how long?

sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: It should be able to hold indefinitely, since its only keeping the beam from reintegrating, it doesn't have to fully stop it.

    To be continued...

    Comments:

Due to a lack of time, I am unable to do the CJ the same way as I was doing it previously. For now, only the story part will be shown. Myoria (or Yintar-Yanar, a new city I am thinking of doing) will occassionally appear when I have time. This will also allow me to build the cities more organically than before, instead of doing it one tile at a time. Also, this should reduce the number of delays between updates.

    zelgadis: That's possible.

Schulmanator: Yes, those are the SNM lots. I can't think of any way of getting yours to work, though, other than giving you my entire plugins folder. There are some that don't work on my computer, too.

This is an intriguing new development. The various gates do have the potential to have an enemy appear right off the port bow, as it were, with little notice. A mixed blessing, methinks. I'll keep my eye on the skies for the next update.

    Wormholes, part 2

    August 9th, 0165AL (2021)

    RDPM.jpg

    Myon RDPM

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Get Narya on subspace.

    sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: Yes, sir.

After a couple seconds, a audio only connection was established with the Narya RDPM

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: We've run into a bit of a gate problem.

blankqw1.jpg  RA Laura: What is it? We tried to dial in about a minute ago after you never dialed here, but it wouldn't connect.

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: That's because someone else had already dialed in.

    blankqw1.jpg  RA Laura: Who?

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: That's what we're trying to figure out. Whoever it is, they're firing some sort of weapon though the gate. Whatever it is, it's being blocked by the gate shield, but it's still not letting us dial anywhere.

    blankqw1.jpg  RA Laura: Mloret?

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Possibly, though no Dlorwani stargate based weapon is known. Then again, no Dlorwani were known to have flagships like Mloret had. We're planning on firing an energy pulse back though the gate in subspace, and then we should be able to triangulate the gate's position by detecting the pules when it gets to Narya, and back to Myon. This should come up with two possible general locations for the other gate, and from there, we should be able to guess the most likely location of the weapon.

blankqw1.jpg  RA Laura: How long will this take?

ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: It should be ready in 2 hours. We will attempt to dial Narya if the gate shuts down before then.

    blankqw1.jpg  RA Laura: Acknowledged.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Myon out.

    ronulyw6.jpgGen. Yelslew: Begin plan "Trigate."

    sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: Yes, sir.

    dpm2191jf0.jpg

    Narya RDPM, 2 hours later

laurbl7.jpg Laur: We are ready here.

blankqw1.jpg Gen. Yelslew: Good. Activate pulse.

    blankqw1.jpg Sergeant Varmon: Yes, sir.

Two pulses, one shortly after the other appeared on the subspace logs.

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: The first one most likely the pulse that went though the gate, the second would be the one that came directly from Myon.

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Unless the other gate's on the far side of Myon from here.

blankqw1.jpg Gen. Yelslew: I've got the logs for the puse that came back to Myon. Sending data now.

    DPM2-38-1.png

2 locations soon showed up on screen, one in Mloret's territory, the other in the middle of nowhere.

mardonve9.jpg Mardon: Okay, I think I got the location. It's Plurgi.

blankqw1.jpg Gen. Yelslew: And the other location?

cormanibm9.jpgCormani: Deep space, nothing within light years.

ralauratt8.jpg RA Laura: Okay, prepare the Kalyun and the Masura for departure.

    To be continued...

    Comments:

Schulmanator: Well, you'll just have to wait and see what happens.

zelgadis: Not really bonkers... it just appears that way.
