Stoped Ferry

For some reason, the ferry boat in my ferry system just stops in the middle of the water! Anyone know why and how I can fix it?

Don't know what is wrong with the animation, but I wouldn't worry about it much. The animation has NOTHING TO DO WITH the actually ferry operation, just as the animated cars don't have anything to do with the actual traffic flow shown by the route query. The animations are just there for "looks" and give a sense of motion to the game visuals. The route query will show if you actually have ferry traffic and if possible where it goes (though this part is not too detailed either if the path is off-map).

Yeah...sometimes this happens. Don't worry about it too much, I suppose it's just a glitch. Other ferries will actually go straight through it as if it weren't there, and it'll eventually disappear (and then another one will get stuck in the same spot).

Maybe the water is not deep enough............I know, maybe not............

Use the water pipe underground view, then you can see if there is a high spot where the ferry sinks.

Do you even have any other terminals, ferrys cant go to nowhere.

I believe they can go to "nowhere" .. I'm sure I've seen ferries making links to other regions even tho those regions aren't populated. I assume this is akin to the "lost souls" situation you get when you make a road to an empty region. Even tho nothing is on the other side, people will use the road to go there..

Ferries CAN go into another city even if there's no one else there. I have many one city-regions and ferries connect themselves to a neighboruing city without my doing so, and even sometimes carry hundreds and hundreds of sims to the outer world of simcity.

for me this is a big problem thay my sims go to nowhere with the ferry because i can do residencial zones without doing industrial nore comercail zones. does somebody know how i can avoid the ferry bug ?

have you tried replopping the ferry station pierrewb?
