cleaner475 - thanks for the tip, i will look out for the pause remover. thanks for the compliment, i got the odeon somewhere in the STEX.

bbfan02 - Thanks buddy, i assume you were as disapointed with the Red Sox sweep as i was 4.gif

godzillaman - thankyou. the thinking behind the sunken rail is that it will be carrying manufactured goods, not something the sims would like to see running through their city!

smarty218 - thanks for the kind words, and thanks for stopping by!

jacqulina - thanks for the continued support. sunken railways would only be used where no passengers would be traveling due to the lack of a view, but good for industrial rails imo.

Mike the Mayor - thanks buddy, i have expanded the city centre now, hope you still like it!

suplado! - thanks, i am a fan of how your arabian cities are coming across as well

2nerdy4u - thanks, i think it's more realistic like that, rather than a mayor coming in and bashing your house just after you built it! 4.gif

flame1396 - i have changed the city centre a bit now, hope you like and thanks for the compliment on my unique style.

gabetx - thanks, wait is over! 9.gif

    connorc24 - thanks again, connor

dralin321 - yes, i may use grid styles in my bigger cities, but this one is quite small and has no reason to resort to grid styles (due to lack of traffic)

CocaTertoka - thanks buddy, i will try to keep it at a high level!

KingTitan - thanks for the compliments on my terraforming, and please stop by regularly!

    Update

Almost finished the other side of the city centre now, just a few areas of farmland to fill in. I have also expanded the city centre a bit and put in a central office building:

    rudston14.jpg

Here is the revamped city centre (still waiting for some to develop):

    rudston15.jpg

The residential area before the click:

    rudston16.jpg

And the area after the click:

    rudston17.jpg

There is a sports centre in the region to keep the sims fit and healthy:

    rudston18.jpg

And the town from a reverse angle:

    rudston19.jpg

I have also finished the farming on the other side of the city, so it is just that top area that needs to be completed before i cross the river and start development there as well

Great work. Beautiful. This place is growing very nicely. Your road layout is imaginative and the blend of nature and civilization is eye-pleasing. Fantastic.

    Update

Just a short one to show the completion of the Northern bank of the river

Here is the area that had to be filled in after the button press:

    rudston20.jpg

Here is a shot showing the area from a reversed view:

    rudston21.jpg

And the entire northern bank as it stands:

Nice landscape and water mod. I can't believe you've built on that!

I also love the town. Way to rise up against the grid!

Za - hehe, hope you will be a frequent visitor from now on 4.gif

KingTitan - Thanks man, stay tuned!

Smarty218 - Thanks a lot, although i only plan small sections of the road at a time, i rarely have a whole town's transport system planned out

    penguin007 - Thanks again, will

jacqulina - Hope to see some of those sunken rails in Paradise falls 9.gif

suplado! - np man, i may be speeding up the updates until the weekend, then nothing until maybe Monday.

2nerdy4u - thanks again man, i also think the water mod is the best, and it goes very nicely with the terrain

edmonton_stinks - Thanks a lot, this is one of the easier areas of the region to build on so stay tuned for some real challenges

    Update

This is quite a short update to show the expansion of Rudston across the river into it's poorer areas. The centre of South Rudston is mainly hotels and a few nightclubs for the rare visitors from outside the region.

Here it is before the button press:

    rudston23.jpg

And here it is after the button press (remember i do no micro-management. whatever grows, stays):

    rudston24.jpg

Here is the centre i was talking about:

    rudston25.jpg

And this shows the rail station with a few shops, and also the stadium of Rudston Town Football Club, who are currently in the Blue Square North Conference Division in English Football (it is a semi-professional division):

    rudston26.jpg

    Stay tuned!

Very nice, I like your concept of city centres. The house in the bottom right has quite a dramatic view, I hope there's no erosion!
