This is already my second update in one day.4.gif

    23378310pd5.jpg25306865eg3.jpg

    Town of Rantala

    Population: 7716

Rantala gained town rights in 1989 after long discussions held by the Pairlament seated in New Harway. The vote ended up with 123 to 77 for Rantalas favour.

This means that Rantala gains new rights and this will also help Rantala developing.

The Mayor of Rantala announced that the town isn't aiming at huge population growth but instead put a lot of money in Tourism, he also announced that the castle in  Rantala named Rantala Linna is going to be renovated and the castlels gardens or in Finnish (Linnan puutarha) are going to be set into theire former glory and that the castle is later going to be reopened as a five star Hotel.

The tourist attraction is going to be the town itself where new shops, museums and parks are going to be opened. Rantal plays a big Deal in the History of Tokomo altough many pepole doesn't notice it it has been one of the most inportant fronts under wartime and the place where many peace solutions have been made mainly with Cat Islands therefor a memorial is going to be built also to reminder of Rantalas history and bacground.

Soon to come some pics of the residential areas in New Harway and about the Rantala Linna (Castle) and tourist development.

    Suhulmanator: Thanks

2nerdy4u: Yeah, I do not really have much time to be on the computer only on weekends.

Mikeaut1: Thanks! Great to hear you all like it.

    jacqulina: Thanks!

    nottheboss: Thanks!

Mike the Mayor: With Greetings from Tokomo to a new visitor great to

hear that you like it your cj is awesome I like them both a lot. hmm! Mixture of new and

old i would say it's pretty much like that in every european city.

Amerikaner: Greetings, great to hear that you like it and I like your parisian style Cj very much.

tankmank: Thanks! many seems to like the new and old mixture.

suplado!: Your the first one commenting the enviorment it's nice to hear that you like the location. I love your Cj.

A typical residential area named Tammikoski nearby downtown a mixture of modern

     and old.

    newharway3apr6311954930hq4.jpg

This is is the typical look of Työväenkylä (Workers Village)

    newharway3apr6311954934re8.jpg

These mediterranean style buildings are homes for the rich and famous in New Harway.

    newharway3apr6311954939jt0.jpg

Most middelclass pepole lives in these residential buildings nearby the downtown and

    financial district.

    newharway3apr6311954941ig2.jpg

Some residential towers and apartments along the canals just north of the Central

    railwaystation in Workers Village

    newharway3apr6311957489li8.jpg

The main sqear in front of the Cenral railwaystation surrounded by office buildings and

departmentstores and the Ortodox Cathedral one of the citys most known landmark.

    newharway3apr6311957494cq4.jpg

This is a very important traffic network that leads to the diffrent bourougs in East New

Harway. The most captureing buildings are the Museum of Natural History and the

     Evangelic Lutheran Curch.

    newharway3apr6311957496fl8.jpg

This part of the city is home to many low income pepoles. The area is attractive to

students moving away home and immigrants that are starting their lives in a a new

    country.

Some picture of the old portarea: This is a very intresting area of the city with it's

rich history and past. The original city was situated right here or it where at least the

place where the low and medium wealth peapole lived and worked. Most lived by fishing

and tradeing but life in this port town wasen't always that easy. The town wasen't

protected by any castle or bay just by a hill from north and it was open for enemy

attacks from the sea and thats why the city has ben burend and occupied by the

enemy far to many times. It was also heavily attacked under modern war times after

that Tokomo gained independence and New Harway became the Capital.Later the town

was moved more to west leaving the porttown diserted. But when the idustrialisation of

Tokomo started in 1948 the port was occupide by low wealth<
