Welcome to Page 3!

Great start. Hope too see the area grow but maintain the National Parks in the area. Also, you should try and find some forest/trees on the STEX and fill the parks with trees. Makes it more realistic.

penguin007: Thanks, and I'm starting to find lots of great BAT's and lots to make my future port updates even better!

funkytim88: Thank you and the reason I haven't gone back to the National Parks is because I haven't touched them, and that's a really great idea I'll look into it.

cleaner475: Thanks, and region is incredieble just wish it was a tad larger...

Well I have lots of pictures ready for the next update, just need to switch them over to .jpg and post them up, unfourtuantly I have a 6 hour day at work ahead of me so it'll have to wait til' after I get back....even then I may not have enough time as I need to sleep early to go to work early tomorrow...so...no later then 6 tomorrow? (EST)

jacqulina: Thanks, and I agree, so I think I'll leave my poorer areas there for realism...maybe.

2nerdy4u: My sidewalks disapeared due to some mod I downloaded, and I just now took the name, thanks to some help from another CJer suffering the same problem, and got them back.^_^

    NEXT UPDATE:

    (A large one too)

    Kent-Aug4161192392682.jpg

Look familar? It should, I featured this area from this angle earlier in the CJ, see if you spot the differences.3.gif

    CrystalSprings-Apr26111192393099.jpg

Kent gains a Target! (Actually its always had a target, but now its being shown!)

    CrystalSprings-Aug23181192425913.jpg

    A nice farm...?

With the oil boom a nice place is needed where the executives and management can live, so they fun a master planned community just to the east of Kent, it'll feature an "world class" golf course, and all the nececities of life.  The golf course, in an attempt to gain profit opens first, even if the community around it is still being constructed.  The name, for now is being kept secret.

    CrystalSprings-May21171192424300.jpg

The main entrance is being under construction, at the top is the now nearly complete golf course and to the bottom is the first neighborhood.

    CrystalSprings-May21171192425687.jpg

Construction around the golf course is going smoothly.

    CrystalSprings-May21171192425702.jpg

    CrystalSprings-May21171192425673.jpg

    CrystalSprings-Aug23181192426300.jpg

    CrystalSprings-Dec19171192425748.jpg

And now it's all completed and ready to open!

    CrystalSprings-Apr4341192472824.jpg

The name is revealed to be Crystal Springs, a major multi-phased master planned community that will cost nearly 10,000,000 simoleons to complete in the end.  With two planned golf courses, two high schools, and numerous shopping plazas interest has grown rapidly.

    CrystalSprings-Aug23181192425877.jpg

The first lots are cleared away...

    CrystalSprings-Feb2341192427465.jpg

    And are quickly filled.

    CrystalSprings-Apr4341192472789.jpg

A few planned neigborhoods are also ready to be sold, and lots begin at the low low cost of 45,000 simelones a lot!

    CrystalSprings-Jun9301192427242.jpg

Shopping centers in Crystal Springs are purposly sucluded and hidden in the trees, making a unique shopping experience and lock residents within the confines of Crystal Springs, but who cares?

Nice pics, but consider reducing the bumpiness of your developed areas.

Nice shopping centers and planned neighbourhoods, although a community like that almost sounds like it should be more McMansion-y. Great country feel!

2nerdy4u: Thanks, and I'll look into that as I've never even though about that, I just build so fast I don't think about those smaller things.

Skram: Thanks, lol, I think a lot of people did, thanks for bumping it! Yeah, the gas station is new, but that's not the only new thing...lol.

KingTitan: Thanks, though plans are to completely destroy it. *evil* Well, half of it...thanks for the post.

politicman: Thanks for the post, good to see some new faces! Or would it be avi's?

edmonton_stinks: Thanks, and I agree, but stupid me forgot to set aside room for them, so only the single lots until phase two!

CocaTertoka: Thanks, yeah I love commercial strips, and I've downloaded some new ones off the Stex, and thanks, I'll keep and I on yours too.

Well, sorry about the complete lack of updates, or even posts in other CJ's, I've been busy, one with another game, and two with work, and third, with Marble.  Everytime, I think it'd look good for the next update, I go to the transportation map and it'd look unrealistic so I've just gone ahead and pretty much went crazy, you'll see what I mean in the next update.  The next update after that will focus on Crystal Springs again! YAY!

Very nice use of Pegasus's pond set! I also like how you zoined the residential! It blends in very well with the farming surrounding it.

bbfan02: Thanks, and that'll be the core design element for that area, at least for the foreseeable future.

Skram: And here it is, lol!

    NEXT UPDATE:

Well, Marble is growing up, while there is nothing  too interesting yet in the main city it has needed something, an airport!  With nearly 100,000 people living in a very small area, and an national park attracting a million visitors a year, and a interesting location in the country Marble decided to purchase land north of the city and start constructing an airport.  Too bad there aren't many flat area's in the Marble-Kent region, as a result this project broke a world record! Most land moved ever!  This has created interesting approaches as well, and has made the airport quickly world famous for some amazing landings, and incredible spotting locations.

The entrance road, which connects to I-57 has been lined with hotels and restaurants, inbetween the approaches to both runways!  Not only that it's been built in the farm land, about 7 miles north of the city.  The parking lot on the bottom right is the farthest long term parking lot and costs a mer dollar a day to park, the one behind all the buildings cost two dollars a day, and the one in the upper right is the employee parking.

    MarbleBayEast-Jan8011193590615.jpg

This park is extremely popular among spotters as it lies just an half mile from the runway and is almost directly underneath the approach allowing for great pictures of planes on short final.

    MarbleBayEast-Jan8011193590565.jpg

Coming up from the north you hit the main long term parking area, which boasts region wide transportation to Shooting Mountains National Park, Marble, Kent, Crystal Springs, and Marble National Forest.  It also has an rail station that takes you via subway to any of the three terminals.

    MarbleInternationalAirport-Aug27-1.jpg

Say hello to one of the most expensive hotel's in the world.  This hotel is unique as the rooms sit eye level to passing airplanes!  Rooms facing the runway can go for as much as ten times as much as rooms not facing the runway, it's location between the two runways, however, allow great opportunties for spotters no matter which side of the hotel you are standing on.

    MarbleInternationalAirport-Aug27001.jpg

Traveling further north you hit Terminals A, to the right, and B to the left.  Both are nearly identical, only one is designed for regional planes, Terminal A, and Terminal B is designed for larger planes.  Short term parking is housed directly underneath the terminal.

    MarbleInternationalAirport-Aug27-2.jpg

Further North you hit Terminal C, the largest of the three terminals, and houses US airways planes.  The airport was designed to handle 78,000 passengers a day, and handles around 2.9 million passengers a year.  A far cry from the larger airports in the county, though there is plenty of room for expansion!

    MarbleInternationalAirport-Apr15001.jpg

    And some arial views!4.gif

    MarbleInternationalAirport-Aug27-4.jpg

Now, for those interesting approaches.  Runway 60 L is the most famous runway at Marble International, mostly because of the hill at the en

Skram: Thanks, and make sure you have some time, as these things tend to take forever to make!  With over a hundred diffferent pieces to sift through, but it's fun and the end result is always worth it!
