Ok kids, well this is my first journal in a loooooonnnnggg time, so this one has no story to it, basically showing my very "basic" region ive just started. Yeah, its boring, but I'll make it better. Here are some quick pics to get it started

Quick request...instead of a link to copy and paste then load...how about posting an actual picture of your CJ......gotta keep an interest here. I am sure it is wonderful, but most are visually stimulated....just a link (n my Opinion) doesn't help out a lot.

Looking really good, I especially like the suburbs, and even your downtowns look really nice. Keep up the good work!

The suburbs are fantastic, but the downtown has a bit too much repetition. You might want to check out the STEX for some great downtown skyscrapers. Personally, I really like Ill Tonkso and SimRabbit.

yeah I know ive been here longer than pretty much everyone lol, but my hard drive got erased, and up here at penn state we have bandwidth limits on what we can download, so I have to wait till I get home and d/l from my home pc everything that I want...probably not for another month lol

Ooh, that's brutal. I've been a member here for months and have yet to do a CJ because there is so much stuff to download. Sorry about your hard drive. Good work so far on the city, especially considering the circumstances.

Thanks for the replies guys. Now that my bandwidth counter has reset, I can really begin this journal. It is a very realistic journal, creating a realist megalopolis with a (kind of) realistic landscape. It may be boring in some parts, but I'll make it more interesting as time goes on (...hopefully )

This is just some shots of the city, (night shots!) No background story yet or anything (I gotta think of one first lol)

Penguin: I really don't like those farming areas at all, I will change them up to make them more scenic and realistic.

Quick Update, first region view! I made the landscape in roughy 20-25 minutes, when I make my landscapes I try to do it as naturally as possible AKA I don't spend hours at a time trying to make it look perfectly realistic or natural, etc. I just take the tools, throw em into the landscape, use the erosion tools a bit, and whateve comes out is what I stick with.
