 THE MAKING OF BROOKESHIRE

My fourth city journal, perphaps I should say fourth to be. I'll showcase pictures as I steadily build my metropolis of Brookshire. Once I get the majority of the city all polished up, I'll start to intergrate storylines, editted photos, really whatever I feel like.

The main transportation system will be a large system of sun

Nice start, but I have constructive criticism: make the bridge higher, it just looks unrealistic like that. All that rail seems a bit much, unless you're replacing mass transit with it, in which case it's still unrealistic. That is, unless this is a modernized Island of Sodor. I like the use of the stadium, and I'm sure there will eventually be a nice realistic downtown to surround it. Later dude!

Looks good. The only thing I have to say is that I don't really like that stuff surrounding the water in the region view. It just doesn't blend...

Nice start but it would be better if you used grass embankments for the railway that would look nice

    suplado!: Thanks.

penguin007: I might use those for the outskirts. Thanks.

jacqulina: Thanks, I think you've posted nice comments on all of my cjs.

I also think the bridge is far too low, but everything else looks good!

    THE MAKING OF BROOKSHIRE

Okay my second update. Now that I've laid out the basic city plan for the downtown area, I've started focusing on utilities and starting to populate the city.

    chartletodec18001189484xc3.jpg

I've set up some civic buildings downtown. A performing arts center along with a modern emergency response center.

    chartletodec20001189484pu1.jpg

Here's a nice modern skyscaper to dominate the sky in this neighbourhood.  This district will be largely commercial.

    chartletodec25001189484xy2.jpg

Every city needs juice, I've constructed an ultra-modern Utility Center rested on the harbour of Brookshire.

     chartletodec27001189485tn3.jpg

Now that I've got a basic city layout, I can begin to grow some Apartment buildings.  This neighbourhood will be rather medium wealth.

    newgente7.jpg

I've mad a major decision about the city's development. I've decided a large energy company will have large stakes in the city. The city will host several facilities and a headquarter owned by General.

Thanks all for now. See you next update. I'll send replies later.

I like the layout a lot. Most of all, I like the utility center. Very modern. Actually, this city already has a feel of modern architecture...will the rest of buildings be use a similar design scheme? I'll certainly keep track of this one--it's looking very professional.

Amazing start. I love how you showed us the sunken rail. Very different start. I bet you this will be your best cj out of your four! Also, very nice buildings. The two small buildings, are they the schools and fire stations, or police? Very nice job so far.

    The Making of Brookeshire

    Third Update.

One major change is the ultra modern LG center in a new neighbourhood. This is a large business center and in the future I may need to plop and stock exchange on the harbor. I love the sleek appeal of this new building.

    chartletoapr18011189721az3.jpg

A new major project in the city is a large underground shopping center and park. The mall will be just near the center downtown, packed between the skyscapers of Brookshire. (ignore the power icons).

    chartletoapr19011189721sv8.jpg

The newest neighbourhood is the sunken Asian District. Fit snug into the downtown area. This place has lots of room for expansion.

    chartletoapr22011189721vo8.jpg

A large 70's style office building to place by the stadium. I think this building might have a back story to it.

    chartletomay50111897213be5.jpg

The residental zones have started to develop, They will eventually become large modern apartments.

    chartletomay70111897213sm8.jpg

That's all for now. See you next update. Lot's more to come.

Looking good. That LG building is nice, but needs some friends. And that 70's building is quite interesting. I like it!
