2nerdy4u: Yeah, I felt that it would be better to dip the GLR line under the road rather than through, as it does get some pretty good

                      usage. Thanks for dropping by!!

suplado!: Thanks again for visiting (I enjoyed visiting your CJ, too!) 18.gif

hijodecordoba: In urban areas, the walls of a tunnel approach or an underpass usually have those kinds of concrete walls. Since the

area is in the downtown, it was a natural choice. Always good to read your replies! 44.gif

jacqulina: Maybe I'll rustle up a few more of those canal pics for you in the future. Thank you for the comment!

Update 3 - The Scenic Route

Well, it's not exactly a route, just a figure of speech 9.gif

    cityofbevellelibrarydm6.jpg

The Library of Bevelle. It boasts a huge collection of books, most dating back well before the city's incorporation over 400 years ago.

    cityofbevellesportscompey7.jpg

The Kellington Sports Complex. Salem Field (right side) is slated to be replaced in a couple of years.

    cityofbevellerailtunnelex1.jpg

The rail line emerging from the tunnels behind a shopping complex. I just thought this looked cool.

    cityofbevelleriversidepnb7.jpg

RiverView Park, one of the largest in the city. it offers a spectacular view of the river to the south and west, and a view of the Financial District's skyline to the east.

    cityofbevelleriversidecnh0.jpg

The RiverSide Condos complex. It is directly south of RiverView Park (previous pic).

    cityofbevellepark512frenb9.jpg

A residential park located near the 512 Freeway. This is the lower-density area of Bevelle.

    cityofbevelleairportteasx9.jpg

And this final pic is a teaser for what's to come in the upcoming updates...

Sorry this update is a bit short; I'm not feeling too well today. Damn weather.... See ya next time!!

    Update 3.5- The Lost Pics...

These pics I meant to include in yesterday's update, but they went missing on me! So let's call this a continuation of Update 3!

    cityofbevelleavenueovertd0.jpg

This is Grand Avenue passing over the canals. Grand Avenue makes a continuous loop around the city center.

    cityofbevelledowntownovxi3.jpg

The southern half of the city center.

    cityofbevellecemeteryovpk3.jpg

And this is an overview of Bevelle's National Cemetery. Only citizens with exceptional merit (i.e. war heroes, upstanding government officials, etc.) can be laid to rest here.

There you have it, the completion of Update 3! Replies will come in the next update, so until then...

suplado!: I love using the GLR, it gets good usage in this city. Thanks!

2nerdy4u (1st post): Yeah, the airport isn't much to look at, IMO, but it'll be shown in update 5. Be on the lookout!

granto93: Ooh, that'll cost ya quite a bit for one of those apartments. I'll see what I can do for you...

Schulmanator: Always a pleasure to read your comments. If you take a look at my signature, your CJ is featured there!

penguin007: Thanks again for your comment!

hijodecordoba: Well, I am very glad you like my style of city building. As for the airport, it'll be showcased soon. I thank you again, friend! 44.gif

2nerdy4u (2nd post): Thanks for being a generous poster here!

jacqulina: Those parks are always a bit of a challenge; using the same puzzle pieces, but trying to make it look completely different from the others. I'm glad you appreciate them!

    Update 4- The Night Life

    cityofbevellecitycenterwg7.jpg

The southwestern part of the city center. A sight to behold, especially from the top floors of the Embassy Suites.

    cityofbevelleregaltheatbw8.jpg

The Regal Theater, another of Bevelle's great theaters. The Federal Police Headquarters is in the foreground.

    cityofbevelletheaternitnw8.jpg

The Rembrandt Theater, stunning at night.

Markus J: Hey, welcome back! I'm glad you dropped by again. The walls aren't particularly difficult to do, maybe I'll do a tutorial one day. (P.S.: Your comments aren't stupid, they are well appreciated!)

2nerdy4u: I was afraid I was repeating myself by showing the same areas again, only at night. I'm glad you like them and it is always a pleasure to read your comments! 9.gif

    suplado!: Thanks, man!

hijodecordoba: You flatter me with your remarks! 43.gif Thanks again for dropping by!

    Update 5- Flying Overhead

Here it is, the final update for the Capital City of Bevelle!

    cityofbevelleairportaquvp9.jpg

Well, it's time to leave this great city. We'll just take exit 12 off of the 501 Freeway.

    cityofbevelleairporttermm4.jpg

Here we are at Bevelle's (outdated) International Airport! Don't forget to tip the taxi driver!

    cityofbevelleairportterws8.jpg

    It's boarding time! TWA Flight 714 departs at 3:30 P.M. (supposedly 21.gif)

    cityofbevelleairportsubhn3.jpg

Now we're flying over the low-density housing near the airport...

That area around the stadium is fantastic! And that's a nice-looking airport. I could never build airports, and I'm still learning how.

Of course I'm doing my best to being a more active member of this great site. Not to mention I couldn't stay away from this great CJ for too long (lol). The low resdiential area looks like a playground for the rich yet, seems to keep that middle wealth feel as well you know? Well of coruse you do... you made it! Theo nly thing I didn't like (but doesn't mean it's bad of ocurse) is the airport. To me... eh... just didn't look good to me. I don't know maybe just because I'm raised on Maxis airports (lol)

    Bump!

I don't like to do this, but I'm giving my CJ a friendly bump here. To any lurkers out there (and I know there are some!), if you like what you are seeing, have a question, or a critique, you are more than welcome to comment. Again, I apologize if this post sounds a little whiney, but I just felt I had to say it. Thanks for reading!

2nerdy4u (1st post): Thanks! I know what a pain airports can be to build, but they are worth the effort! 44.gif

    Markus J:

I'm glad you consider my CJ great! As for my airport, I don't care for it much myself, either, but I did that purposely

because it's supposed to be an outdated facility. Thanks for the comment!

    Schulmanator:

Bring it, you say? It already has been brought! 3.gif

    penguin007:

Well, the preview is a little outdated, as you'll see in this update...

    2nerdy4u (2nd post):

After looking at the video, I can see what you mean! It would be cool. Thanks!

    truflip99:

Nice to have another fan of this CJ! I would love to live in that city as well (LOL) ! 9.gif

Update 6- Welcome to Jeylin City, the Resort of the Republic

A world apart from the center of government in the Capital City of Bevelle.

Jeylin City is known as the Resort of the Republic. These pics will show you why...

    jeylincityjeylinboulevakk7.jpg

Jeylin Boulevard at night. The main thoroughfare that enters the heart of the city.

    jeylincitycasinosnite1ix3.jpg

It's been a long trip, so we'll crash for the night at our hotel (the tall, curved building).

    jeylincitycasinosday2wo4.jpg

After a restful night's sleep, it's time to hit the sights!

    jeylincityoceanavenuecohl3.jpg

Jeylin City is growing at an outstanding rate, as evident by the many construction sites and cranes that temporarily add to the city's skyline.

    jeylincityoceanavenuecohl8.jpg

    More construction along Ocean Avenue.

    jeylincityprettyshot1re3.jpg

A beautiful aerial shot of two of the casinos, the construction sites, and the beach.

    jeylincitycasinosday1ov5.jpg

The World Casino, famous for its cutting-edge architecture.

    jeylincitytoyotacenterbkc9.jpg

The Toyota Center, paired with the Tower, makes a great postcard!

    jeylincitynewcasinoconswg3.jpg

Next-door to the Toyota Center, a new casino is being built; it is slated to open in less than two years.

The last three pics are of the gorgeous beaches in Jeylin City. Words can't describe them, so it is just best to soak in their beauty...10.gif

    jeylincitybeach1it7.jpg

    jeylincitybeach2aa8.jpg

    jeylincitybeach3uh2.jpg

I hope you enjoyed those pics, because they took a long time to get just right!

    And there's more to come...
