Google has done it again. They have intergrated a flight simulator into their world-famous Google Earth programme. However, like many of Google's things, this Flight Sim is hidden away, with no mention of it on the user documentation.

To get at this programme, you need to download the very latest Google Earth build, and then press a couple of keys together at a certain time.

I've found that the key combonation for me is Ctrl+Alt, and A. Or, Ctrl, Windows Key, and A.

Try both of them.

Once you finally get it (took my about 10 minutes of trying), you are presented with an option of two aircraft; a jet, and a propeller aircraft. Also you can choose from a number of airports to take off from.

Pressing OK will bring you to the Flight Sim screen. The controls are basically like anyother fight sim out there.

Up Arrow Key Pitch Down
Down Arrow Key Pitch Up
Left Arrow Key Roll Anti Clockwise
Right Arrow Key Roll Clockwise
Shift + Up Arrow Key Turn Down
Shift + Down Arrow Key Turn Up
Shift + Left Arrow Key Turn Left
Shift + Right Arrow Key Turn Right
C Stabalize
G Open Landing Gear
Left Bracket Decrease Flaps
Right Bracket Increase Flaps
Page Up Increase Throttle
Page Down Decrease Throttle
Space Bar Pause

Alternatively, you can click the screen with the cursor, which then becomes a crosshair. This allows you to control Pitch and Roll by moving the mouse.

There are a couple more keys, and some variations on the above, but I find those the most useful.

Anyway, happy flying!

Now WE need to buy this program from google or download it for free. Please give us a link to the download page (but still its worth the $40 package for FS2004 OR $70 for FSX (Much better))

This is much fun, of course it's no where near as spectacular as FSX, but its free so what would you expect 3.gif. I'm still getting the hang of the flying the thing, crashed it many a time. It gets easier though.

Awesome! I've always loved flying. But I don't want to drop a bunch of money on FS. This is great!
