Overlooked problem?

I tried to download the Jing Guang Center from Beijing (by skyscraper), but the folder is empty, and I cannot extract it to my Plugins folder. Another download by someone else has the lots and desc files, but no BAT.

I'm asking if someone may fix the download so I can get the building as well?

(You can try to download it yourself, the folder is empty, the second one has no BAT or SC4Model, so I would assume you'll get the brown boxes with the latter download)

I had the same problem with a lot from the same creator you mentioned. You should send a pm telling him that a certain file is missing, sometimes uploaders don't notice if something is missing.

I have just downloaded the Jing Guang Center by skyscraper ( and v2 by T-Wrecks ) and had no problem whatsoever. I think you should try again as the files are there.

Also, sometimes you don't need a BAT ( model file ) if it is embedded in a .DAT file or the models is a dependencie for the lot you downloaded. This is the case with the Jing Guang Center V2 by T-Wrecks as well. The model is in the download by skyscraper.

I've tried to download version 2, as well, but that download doesn't have the model itself, only listing it as a dependency. It has the lots but no model. Since there's no model, where the textures are, I would assume you would get the brown boxes while ingame.

BTW, I checked the Version 2 in the LotEditor, checking the lots themselves, there's no building. There only 5 SC4LOT files, a copyright and two other documents, no DAT files.

The model IS in the zip file by skyscraper ... he made it. The zip contain everything you need to have the building in your game. Both growable and Ploppable.

The file uploaded by T-wrecks is an "add-on" to the file by Skyscraper. It uses the same model but with a different lot and possibly a different set of values ( desc file ). BUT you NEED to place the model file by Skyscraper in your plugins folder to make T-wrecks files work as they should. 

The files by T-wrecks are dependent on the model file by skyscraper.

I checked Jing Guang Center In Beijing by skyscraper. It downloaded just fine and the model file seemed to be there. I would suggest you clear your browser cache, restart your browser and try downloading it again.

The version by TWrecks uses skyscraper's version as a dependency for the model, therefore it does not contain the model itself, as others have explained above.

Sometimes it helps to download with another browser, especially if you are with AOL like me.

I finally got the Jing Guang Center, I downloaded it via WinZip. The model is there, I was using Mozilla Firefox and some Windows built-in extracting method instead, that might've been the problem.

Yes sometimes if you have a download manager its worth trying with it switched off. Sometimes they don't work too well with some kinds of downloads.
