Hi there I have used mods in the past from here but it seems that Rmod program is no longer being used. Can someone please tell me which program to use and how to do it? Thanks for the help from a poor computer user

I think the mods you're referring to are the ones with the KBI  extension. The program that installed them is RPatch.exe. I still have it but I think most of those old mods have been converted to DAT files which can be placed in your Plugin folder.

It's better to go with DAT mods because if you don't like one, just remove the file from the Plugin folder. The other method, if you didn't make a backup of your SimCity_1.dat file then you have to reinstall to remove a mod.

Oh gosh, this is an old thread. I searched!

I'm fairly new to SimCity 4 (though not new at all to SimCity!), and I downloaded a mod that makes water look cooler. I unzipped it, but it's an .exe file. Where do I put it? Do I have to run it before placing it somewhere?

Also, am I right to put lots in the plugins folder?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't create .exe modds, and PEG does, so it's probably his...yes, I think you just run the exe to install the modd; it will place the files in the plugins folder for you automatically. Lot files just go in the plugins folder.
