    Ok smaller update:

    All the shadows have been added to the HSR the monorail shadows remain unharmed. The Diagonal HSR above network overpasses are being puzzle pieced but will be made draggable in the 2nd release (most likely when GHSR is released after it has been made)

    All now that is left to do is add a few more pieces and supports then in one week it will all be finished and this topic will change to GHSR.

    The new HSP which warrior is working on isn't ready to be released yet.. I beleive. There is an existing one already made that replaces monorail on the stex. Look at the first page of this forum for information.

    Will this have the same issue as GLR? I would love to use GLR...but I seem to have a problem with the crashing.. I have read all the comments and fixes...but never seems to work right...so will it have the same issues?

    You should be using the draggable GLR not the puzzle pieces, the draggable GLR will make you have almost no crashes, this HSR is built on the same technology as the draggable GLR, so not puzzle pieces, for how to use draggable GLR look in the NAM manual

    Question/Request: Will there be at least a basic straight piece for HSR over GLRin Avenue? Just want confirmation on this, it'd stink to have to split avenues and GLR at every intersection like we have to do for normal rails.

    For planning: how many tiles do you think a turn will take? 4x4?

    I don't know if HSR over GLR in Avenue is possible, I know it is not possible if GLR/Ave was draggable but I'm not sure about puzzle pieces, What turn do you mean? Straight to Diagonal (45)?

    GLR in avenue is all puzzle pieces, I think it shouldn't be harder than creating a 2x1 piece from the base.

    And I mean a smooth 90 degree turn, unless you only have diagonals planned.

    There couldn't be HSR over GLR in ave for the same reason there isn't rail. The game has limitations on the number of transit types that can be on a single tile (2 max. that's why road-rail intersections work). Since dual networking puzzle pieces (GLR in ave, and EL over road) max out this limitation, it's not possible to have a dual network piece cross any other network, besides either of the two that are used.

    That's a little disappointing, but understandable. Is this due to a lack of models? I wouldn't mind producing one if you could use it.

    Yes and no If another model was made it would make the corner 1 tile smaller, but this is High Speed Rail and normal High Speed trains can't go round tight corners at high speeds.

    Sorry for not posting here in a while, I have almost finished it, but this weekend I decided to take a break form the modd and start a littler sider project. That doesn't have anything to do with HSR. I plan to finish the HSR by the end of next weekend (I know I have said that a lot, but next weekend is 5 days long for starting thursday ending monday)

    That's beautiful! HSR and Monorail...I am so excited about this project almost being completed! Great work!

    Will there be any new HSR stations introduced?

    I used the beta in one of my regions, and I'd get thousands of commuters using the HSR everyday to travel through several cities just to get to work, very cool. 9.gif

    About time for an update, I think.

    The Shadows aren't properly sorted out yet, but they will be.

    On a side note: I have to get permission from 3ddz to use his models befoer I can release, so fingers crossed, he replies and says yes.

    Also: After HSR is released there will be some patches for any bugs that are found and anything that can be added without modifying the NAM RUL files, so like canteneries.

    There will be the old station, but with a facelift and correct Transit Switch Stuff, and there will be the old bridge for GHSR and HSR.

    This modd will only use the old modds models, any new stuff comes later. (GHSR is the HSR models lowered 15m so not exactly new)

    EDIT: All the shadows and paths have been correctly added, and all that is left is some fixing of the Diagonal HSR pylons, release is very very close. (provided nothing happens, between now and the ERD)
