Before I start, this is my first CJ so be gentle with your criticism.

The city’s name is Esterri d’ Àneu, and is a part of my region named Catalunya, Catalonia for English speakers. IRL it’s a small town in the mountains but in my region it’s a coastal city with everything you might need. 

This is the terrain before everything started. You can see it is a pretty flat land but it has a river running trough it connecting the two big lakes in my region (Region shot will come later on when I’m finished):

Here is the first piece of the city. This is the neighbourhood of the wealthiest sims in Esterri d’ Àneu, close to the beautiful long beach with a long art Deco wall blocking out the traffic from the main avenue. You can also see a small piece of where the metropolitan area will be.

good start, remember to turn off the mayor panel when taking pics, also there are downloads on the STEX that let you create beaches for coasts like yours so they don't have beach tiles sticking out everywhere, search for them on the STEX anbd you'll beaches will look much better

UPDATE #1!

Due to the increasing demand of houses in Esterri d’ Aneu, the city needs to create jobs. The industrial area is in the making… (You can also see the new coal power plant)

Meanwhile the metropolitan area has grown...

...and grown:

And the first highrise buildings have started to plop up:

After many years of planning a new highway it's finally time to start building...

After some months of delay due to archaeological finds during the digging the highway is finally in place and the next plan is to put walls around it for cosmetical reasons.

Thanks to the new highway the industrial demand in Esterri d’ Aneu is really big and the industrial area is expanding.

A local millionaire has sold his land outside of the city to a local construction firm that has turned the land in to a mid wealth suburb away from the stress and noise of the metropolitan area.

The newly built hospital is a nice addition to the already great healthcare in Esterri d’ Aneu.

The spoiled kids now have a school to go to without seeing “regular people”. The school principal has complained about the skate park next to the school calling it a “bad influence” on the pupils in his school.

And here is a shot over the whole city.

The next plan for the city hall is to start building commercial and residential areas on the other side of the river.

Hey, nice looking CJ you have. However, when taking a picture, turn off the grid pattern and turn off the UDI markers. Your pictures would look a lot better.

Cleaner, Erikfloan and for all you other people having problem seeing the pictures, go back to the main forum, and go back to this thread again. It usually works for me.

yeah I can see the pics now, yeah turn of the grid and turn of UDI icons!

to do the camera mode press: Crtl and S I think (check your manual, go to the shortcuts section)

Got some bad news for you guys now, I'll drop this CJ. It was a nice first try, but I just downloaded Terraformer again and I've terraformed a new Catalunya. I'll be back with a new CJ of a new town in my new region. Thanks for all the comments! Keep an eye out for my new CJ.
