About to play the beta and... will give away some keys afterward
Maszi replied to lucker88's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Will you post them in the thread or will you require a PM sent to you? How many do you have? -
Okey, I re-installed the NAM and now the plug-ins. I think I made a mistake when choosing my installation-mode, I used the recommended one when I should have used the custom installation.

This is starting to get really annoying now, still no solution guys?
-
Yes I'm sure I did that. I'll just play a bit longer and see what happens.

Thanks for the great comments everyone! And Sim_Air, I'll remember that in the future! This was just a try at making a CJ and that's why it'll come to a pretty abrubt ending by a pic showing the whole city from far away. I'm sorry you didn't get to see more pics of the east side, but for my next CJ I'll have a lot more photos, more updates and a bigger city. Until then, enjoy this pic!

Take a look at the pic. The building at #1 has a long commute time when doing a query for the building, while the house across the street has a short commute time. The bus station (marked as #2) is just outside the building, and the city is only a few tiles away, with a nice one way road leading towards it with medium traffic. I've downloaded the latest Network Addon Mod (June 2007) and when I installed it i marked "Custom transit" (or something like that) because I had read that it was the best for getting good transit times. But still the problem remains.

jacqulina Thank you

Sim_Air Thank you! A small heads-up, the east side is almost finished. Pics will be uploaded soon!

Update 2: The east side suburb, mostly containing low-wealth apartmentbuildings. Remember the first suburbs? After a couple of years, and a few trees chopped down it now looks like this: Keep an eye out for more updates!

Hmm.. try doing what I wrote in my first post. " If you can't see the pics, go back to the main forum, and get back to the thread and it should work! "

suplado! Yeah the shadows are from SMP SunsetSunrise Shadow Mod by simtropiaproductions and Mayspacys terrain/climate mod.

UPDATE The new and bigger hospital built in the outskirt of the city but with good acces to the highway and the main avenue for quick rescues! The city center by night Probably the most simple bridge you've seen but nevertheless it does the job - connecting the west side and the east side of Gramanet. That's it for now. In the next update you'll see the development on the other side of the canyon!
-
Sim_Air Thank you! About the trees, I do agree with you. But to my defense I must say I live in Sweden and we.. have.. A LOT of trees EVERYWHERE and that might have been an influence.
-
manman99 That sounds reasonable, I'll keep that in mind in the future.

I'm back with my new CJ. Some of you might have seen my previous one for Esterri d' Aneu. That one was cancelled after i Terraformed a new region. My new CJ is for the city of Gramanet. I'll say it again, this is my first CJ if I'm not counting with the previous one that was cancelled, so don't be too harch. The terrain is pretty simple. A plain surface with a canyon running trough it. In the north-east corner there is a big forest that I'm planning on chopping down in the future.. lol The first suburb of the city. A midwealth suburb close to the canyon running through the city. All houses are pointed towards the canyon with a wall of trees behind the houses. A nice place to start a family maybe? Be careful though, your kids might fall down the cliff.. Similar to the suburb above, only a bit further from the local school and the city. A beautiful art Deco wall with redcedar trees along the street blocking out noise and traffic from the avenue going downtown. The industrial area is up and going! The suburbs. In the top left corner you can see the downtown suburbs, with multistories buildings commercial areas combined. In the top right corner as well as in the lower right corner you can see two of the villa-suburbs, shown above, ideal for families with kids. The center of the city with all the commercial buildings (and some residential). An avenue being the main road and beautiful trees on each side of the avenue gives a nice touch to a (at the moment) pretty ugly center. You can also see the new hosiptal in the bottom left corner. The city is really new and that's why most of the shops and apartments are on the down side. Some of the spaces might seem naked, but trees will be planted and parks will be added, be sure. This is just a heads up of what's coming! That's it for today. Keep an eye out for this thread! PS. If you can't see the pics, go back to the main forum, and get back to the thread and it should work!
