Really modern bus stops by ace-coder

 Zone only residential adding 'modern bus stops' and electricity. Now start the simulation and

there won't be any no-job zots! All your Sims are working at bus stops.

 I discovered this serious bug playing CAM (nobody wanted to travel to a neighboring city to find

a job). 

 I made an experiment placing residential zones plus the original bus stops. The game reacts

properly and zones don't develop - only one Sim can work at a bus stop.

By default, the Maxis Plugin Manager (PIM) assigns 95 Low Wealth jobs and 5 Medium Wealth jobs to any transit building that is created by it. You will have to go in and edit the jobs yourself using either SC4Tool or the Reader program.

The Maxis bus stops employ 2 Low Wealth workers for each bus stop.

Yeah, me to. Although the Default bus stop looks like it might have a ticket booth or a waiting room or something in it, So I can kind of see why they would do that.

When your city is 3000 or more and connections with outside world don't work ( because all Sims work at bus stops) - it is not that funny. It undermines the main concept of playing

a region. Ridiculous...

This might not be feasible, but try GLR or el-rail, (subways work too). I don't think that any sims work at those stations (I msiplaced my RH guide, so I can't say for sure). EDIT: It doesn't say in the RH guide, so I'm not sure.

Recently, the York Transit Authority outside Toronto introduced a new system where there is a ticket seller in each stop because you buy your ticket by distance to be traveled.  Surprisingly, these are machines.  However, Sims are too stupid to use such gadgets, so ...
