Larger Rail Capacity?

I love using big rail stations (eg. St Pancras, Gare Du Nord etc..) and even though they have huge capacities the rail doesn't.

It goes "red" under congestion, is there a way that I can increase the rail threshold to over 10,000?

You can do that with iLives Reader, which is found in the Modding & Downloads pages.

You might be able to do it with SC4Tools, I am not sure.

If you use the NAM and a pathfinding option, that is where you would want to do the modification.

i thought sc4tool was for lots? and if it was for lots you would have to place them apart

I got a really long overcrowded length of track in one of my regions. I simply laid a second set next to the existing one resulting in a 4 track corridor. It works great considering a lot of the custom station on STEX have 4 tracks (2 tiles) anyway. The way I have it in my region is cool, it reminds me of the Northeast Corridor or the New York water-level route.

Indeed, rail capacities in SC4 are ridiculously low.

If you are using the NAM, you can select a different capacity set (x2, x5 or Radical), combined with a pathfinding option as Tungston said (I would suggest the "Better" pathfinding). But these capacity options increase the road networks capacities as well.

If you want something custom you must mod the traffic exemplars yourself (use iLive). But have in mind that rail congestion isn't as bad as road congestion.

Something else I didn't know. I'll have to really consider installing NAM!
