Try Raising taxes, but not to much and if you have schools and hospitals lower the funding, eg if there are 30 kids at the school and the capaticity is 400, lower the funding until the capaticity is about 50. Also only put down what your city needs, if you have zoned low density residential/commercial/industry then you don't need water.

Sorry for my 1 post without details 3.gif.

Look. My taxes are about 8-9%.

First. I built 4 squares one next to other and there i place houses next to it i place shops and far away from it farms. I built the cheapest police station, fire station and hospital also the cheapest. My spendigs about 900 - 1000. I don't know how to earn money and the biggest problem is that my shops everything on BLUE shops and offices and other stuff like that do not grow. There are a few of them.

What do you think about it ??4.gif

    btw thanks for help

its because you have to have a substantially larger amount of residential (green) population before commercial (blue) buildings grow. The income problem would also be solved by zoning more residential, and querying (? button) the hospital and reducing the funding until the capacity used matches the maximum capcaity

oh and only use water towers and wind power plants, and dont do any landfill/garbage things

    hope this helps

Very early on, spend as little as possible. If you are just starting a city, you most likely have no need for the police station, fire station, or hospital - in fact, if your city is small enough (and it should be very small, if you are just starting out), then you shouldn't even have placed any water yet - only electricity.

Power and zones - I believe that is about all you need early on. Zone very small - only a few tiles at a time. Growth will come slowly - but it will come as long as you save your money early on.

    Kujbyszew:

If you have the Rush Hour/Deluxe version, you can earn rewards with the U-Drive-It missions. There are rewards that can earn your city 2,300 simoleons per month. There is an outline of the UDI missions in the Omnibus section.

If you've just come off SC3K, you have to forget it completely.  Especially don't run in Cheetah mode at the beginning.  There was a general philosophy switch, and the new rule is "slow and steady" rather than "zone and run like hell".

A gentle start is my short tutorial on starting up a minimal city.  It is a sticky around here somewhere.

The main thing is to go slow, enjoy the graphics (eye-candy), and stay in the black.

ok. i solve it out. It turned out that I must build many factories more than houses to earn money! iv got still a little minus about 300$ but I played very fast becouse of no time. Today I'll try it. But one question. Why buildings become BLACK. Many factories are empy and BLACK. What's wrong??

When a building turns black, that means that it's abandoned. Abandonment can occur for a number of reasons, depending on the situation.
