An annoying file called SC4update4BAT.exe

Ive given up. I cannot get this file from the internet...ANYWHERE. I cannot register on the site because the simcity4 registration code doesnt work. I cannot send a help request to EA via email or any other means because their service for the game is cut. This file isnt anywhere on the internet. No one I talked to so far is willing to give me the file in any way.

I really want it, because this update fixes some of the BATs, allowing the lights and some animations to work, and so far, for everything I have downloaded, none of them work, which is sad for me, because the night skyline looks very dark now. 

I need the file called SC4update4BAT.exe. to do this. I have no idea why its not here somewhere on simtropolis, but I want it realy badly.

By the way, I have confirmed that sharing this file as well as others from the official site is NOT pirating as long as you do not make a profit, they made it that way because they cannot effectively manage the site anymore and because of problems like these that are very common. Zelagis can testify for me, I PM'd him. 

If ANYONE has this file (approx 14 MB) and is willing to send it via AIM (my screenname is {deleted for securuty reasons}, will usually autoaccept files if im not there) or can upload it to a filesharing site (that is accessable), that would be...amazing. Ive had no luck so far, but to the extent Ive gone to get this thing, its sad Ive got nothing to show for it. Can anyone help?

So far as i am aware, that material is copyright by EA.  If this is not so, someone could PM him to get his endpoint.

I want to drop a quick note in here to say that this is absolutely 100% legal. If I had the file, I would post it on my file sharing site myself, but unfortunately I don't. However, this topic is unlocked now and I'm sure Xehenniar would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Why wont reinstalling your CD work? Too scratched? If your afriad of losing stuff, Just copy your plugins folder to somewhere you'll remember it and delete the rest of the files. Oh, and remember the regions folder..

I have the file, but it's too large to email, and I don't use IM's, especially AIM. So if there is a place to upload it, I'll give it a try.

Ditto.  I have it on my Linux desktop and can offer it as either a tar or a gzip archive.  Maybe a tar inside a gzip.  PM me.

The guy is hosting all Maxis' files, it is legal to host them as long as you don't make money of them or something like that, I believe.

I have to warn you though, since you're looking for thefilearound the internet, chances are that you're using a Simcity 4 version with the No CD patch, aka Cracked. The update won't work if you have a cracked Simcity 4.
