Alright, everything is almost ready. I just have a couple problems and questions.

    1. Do I need roof junk for this?

    2. I would like this Post Office to have a Post Office vehicle (like this one: 518454270_4f34ca7224_m.jpg) and a truck as well (here: http://www.canadapost.ca/common/corporate/about/newsroom/photo_centre/images/truck4.jpg). I'd like it to have a U-Drive-It mission, but it should be drivable at least. I'd like some info on how to go about doing that.

That's it for now. Thanks for your help.

    1.-yes. absolutely. definetely.

2.-I don't know if its possible to make vehicles drivable and its definetely not possible to create your own U-drive-it missions, but there are propably some good mailman trucks on the STEX.

Sure, I'll try and come up with some roof junk.

It's possible to make drivable vehicles, I have seen them before. I just don't know where to get Automata....

I have just tried exporting my other model (again...) and when I go to look in the folder where the BAT is set to export files, it is not there. So I waited all this time, and nothing is there...great.

It's there. So if I go into the Plugins manager, I should find that model?

Lot Editor now. When will this ever end...

My model doesn't show up in the list. I have chosen a lot with enough room, but it's not on the list.

I've tried every single lot that is CO$$$, but it never shows up. This building is 3x2 (3 tiles long, 2 tiles wide).

Yesterday I had the same issues, first the lot wouldn't show up because I had modified a custom lot thinking it was a regular RCI lot, so after changing which lot I modified, I had to search for one that might fit a new and improved building. Take a look and double check all of your designation that you've applied to the building. It may be more subtle than you think. Also, take a look at your plug-ins folder. In my experience, a lot won't show up if it's in a folder, or sub folder. It has to be right there out in the open. In fact, your My Documents SC4 Plug-ins folder should be one of two things, empty except for a folder that contains all of your past projects, or empty with TWO folders, one for all of your projects and then one for all the others you download from the STEX.

I'm looking at what you've got, and I think it's good first progress. The next BAT you should attempt should push your skills a little more. As you BAT, keep pushing your skills. The process is the same every time, but what you can achieve with that process is amazing. Push yourself!

Select only your BAT (not anything else in the scene), and go File>save selected. Save it as whatever. Then open a new scene. Go to file>merge, and merge in what you had just saved. Save this file with a new filename, and export it again.

Good. That problem is solved. Now I've got another problem. I'll try and get a screenshot of it up in a bit...

    Let's see here:

Problem. This building is just a little wider than the texture. Any ideas?

I'm going to be sneaky...because I'm lazy and I don't want to spend all week reformating my building, although I'll certaintly remember to keep my buildings smaller widthwise:

    legomedia2.jpg

I added a 'sidewalk' to the front of the building, and replaced the grass with concrete. I still got some plants and such in as well...and I removed the green triangles, although they are still in the pic. I like it. Then again...I'm the creator.... Do you think there is anything else I should add/remove/change? I'm open to anything. 4.gif Maybe another lot might work better with this...

The green triangles are actually effects (smoke, for example, is an effect.  So is water coming out of a water fountain).

I really think that you should re-render it so that it fits on a 1x3 (maybe even a 1x2 would be best).  Right now the lot is looking really bad, lol.  But I don't know how I'd fill that space either.  Maybe a parking lot?  But I think it would all be a lot better if you just scaled the building to fit a 1x2.
