Discovery

To flee from their cruel dictator, I. Keel Yew, a small fleet of boats departed from a tiny port on the east side of the dictator's nation. The fleet consisted of men, women, children, and supplies. The refugees had often heard of an uninhabited land to the east and they wanted to settle there. This land was known as Produlin.

For months, the ships searched for this land. The people were dying of disease and food was running out. They had given up hope...

But one night, a man named Eugene Norman had a dream. In his dream, a goddess appeared and she said, "Turn the fleet 20° into the wind, and tomorrow you shall find land."

Eugene was at first skeptical, but he knew the people were dieing, and this was their last hope. He visited the captain and ordered him to turn 20° north. The captain threatened Eugene, but after some pestering, Eugene got what he wanted. Now he only had to wait til morning...

Eugene tried to sleep but he could not. He stayed the entire night, looking out into the horizon.

In the morning he was quite weary, but still he could not sleep. He stared at the ocean, waiting to spot land. And then he did. At first he thought he was hallucinating because of his lack of sleep (and his adoration for drugs... we won't go into that now), but as the image became larger and clearer, he knew he had found something.

Gathering up what energy he had left he shouted, "Land Ho!" and he pointed to the horizon. All eyes turned and there was much cheering. They had found it! The legendary land of Produlin!

This is the land they saw.

After landing, several men jumped ashore to explore the new land. They found a beautiful, untouched land, and they were eager to begin building...

NOTE: I am using some mods (including the NAM), the Alexander map by rooker1 and some BATs made by Simtrop members. If u see something and recognize it, please tell us so that person can get credit. I know I'm using Cobb's buildings and a couple of NDEX ones, but I cant remember the creators of much of downloads. Helping me with this would be very helpful. Hope u can see the images as well. Enjoy the CJ!

    Dea's Beginnings

For several days, the people worked hard to build a town in which they could live. They lived in temporary homes and ate native fruits to survive. At last, a town was built. They named it Dea, the Latin word for goddess, in honor of the goddess in Eugene Norman's dream. And of course, they made Eugene their leader, because it was only because of him that they were alive.

    The Town of Dea.

    deastage1farmmt5.jpg

The Farm. Sims worked here and they often visited to relax.

    deastage1houseszy1.jpg

Typical Houses. Neighborhoods were quiet and calm.

    deastage1schoolandmedclve1.jpg

The School and Medical Clinic. Education was a priority in the minds of the Deaei. The clinic was built to treat the sick who survived the long journey.

    deastage1downtownra4.jpg

Downtown. The Deaei took goods from the farms and sold them here. Deaei also made their own goods and set up stores to sell them in these buildings.

To tell other Sims around the world about Produlin, Eugene Norman ordered a group of fine sailors to set out and inform others. Within a few years, the men returned with more boats. These boats were filled with settlers. The Deaei now had to increase the size of their town.

Topcliff: Thank you for your support. Glad to see you here.

penguin007: Also thanks for your support. Hope you stick around.

Jacqulina: The famous Jacky is here. Im honored by your presence 48.gif

Za: Thanks for the comment. I hope my CJ turns out good, too.

scififan68: Glad you like the intro. It took me a while to come up with a beginning, but it just went from there.

NOTE: I like to keep my plugins folder small (ATM it's only 80 MB), so Maxis towns are somewhat unavoidable. However, I plan to download more stuff for this CJ. This will hopefully make the cities a bit more beautiful.

    Dea Expands

In order to accommodate all of the new settlers, Eugene Norman decided to expand the town of Dea. He also didnt like the idea of having ships beach into a populated area, and because he knew more Sims would come to the new land, he decided to hold a vote. The subject: Whether to build a small airstrip or a small port. After several weeks of arguing, the people decided to build a port simply because an airport was too expensive and too dangerous.

Then began the task of building new neighborhoods for the new arrivals. In the meantime, the new settlers were packed into existing homes, where they lived as family members of an already present family. After some months of back-breaking work, the Deaei completed work. They had built a new port to welcome incoming ships and also as a small trade center for the few vessels that came. They tripled the size of downtown and added new residential neighborhoods. Three of Eugene Norman's advisors, P. En Guin, Jacky, and Homme N. Awway, also thought that a city beautification project was needed. This project included building a new park and adding large flora to the agricultural section.

    deastage2portxh2.jpg

The new port. This also became a place for Deaei to relax on sunny days. (This is the GDV Yacht Club by Goldiva)

    deastage2downtowncw4.jpg

The main part of the new Downtown. Business boomed with the arrival of more settlers.

    deastage2newneighborhookd7.jpg

A poor-looking new neighborhood. Homes were built hastily, but these homes were soon replaced with nicer ones.

    deastage2parklw3.jpg

The new park. This area was a favorite among residents for relaxation. It was conveniently located between the workplaces and neighborhoods, giving it easy access to anyone who wanted to relax, at anytime.

    deastage2xo4.jpg

A view of Dea. Unfortunately, the town hired a drunk to plant the trees. He wandered into the SE farm and planted trees there and he also planted too much on the NE farm. Man, he was wasted.

But now the town is full. Eugene has decided to expand north and build a new town. He does not know when more settlers will arrive, but this time he wants to be ready...

    Brawl Point

Eugene Norman decided to build a new town north of Dea in order to accommodate additional settlers. However, the Deaei refused to build a new town. They were exhausted. They had survived a terrible journey and built a town right up from the ground.

But then, catastrophe struck. With all of the new settlers, not enough food was being produced. The Deaei were starving. They had no choice but to build more farms. Eugene's idea of building a new town was finally accepted. For months, the people worked and many died of starvation and overworking.

The new town was finally finished. But one important thing was missing: a name. The people argued about the name. The town was divided. Half wanted to name it Death Point, in honor of all those that had died during the journey and the building. Others, however, found this name too morbid and felt that it would discourage people from settling in Produlin. They wanted to name it Norway, in honor of Eugene Norman. This arguing even became violent. Those of opposing sides who met during everyday activities often began street-fights. This continued for some time until one clever man, T. Opp Kilf, proposed the name Brawl Point. Everyone was tired of fighting and the accepted the name.

A few weeks later, when more settlers arrived, they were greeted at the new port and they moved into the new town very easily.

    brawlpointstage1yb1.jpg

The new town. It is similar to Dea, but has more farms to feed the growing population.

    brawlpointstage1farmeo8.jpg

A new farm. It has easy road access and the farm is lined with trees.

    brawlpointstage1famousatu3.jpg

The famous apple orchard. The Brawlers were glad to have this in their town. It was voted "Most Tranquil Spot In Produlin."

    brawlpointstage1downtowyp8.jpg

Downtown Brawl Point. The pedestrian area, known as Brawl Center, was famous for the perennial Market Day. Stalls were set up on this day and the day was celebrated as a festival, with food and entertainment.

    brawlpointstage1libraryru5.jpg

The Library and Medical Clinic. Farm life was dirty and this led to ill farmers, so a clinic was built near Brawl Point's town center. This meant that farmers did not have to travel to Dea for treatment. The library was built to satisfy the growing number of bookworms. Students went to the school in Dea and people visited the library in Brawl Point, creating a sort of balance.

    brawlpointstage1richneihg5.jpg

A neighborhood in Brawl Point. Some of the wealthier settlers moved into these higher quality homes.

And so all was well, or at least the Produliners thought so. They had no idea that disaster was about to strike their tiny little towns...

    Wrath of the Goddess

Remember that goddess from that dream? The town Dea was named after this goddess. But this goddess felt that this was not enough. She was the one responsible for the survival of the refugees. She had guided he ships to land. And yet, the people praised Eugene Norman. They had given him the power and no one in the towns prayed to the goddess that gave them life. The Goddess had been forgotten. She decided to remind the Produliners that she existed.

On one quiet morning in Dea, the Deaei were preparing themselves for work. Farmers readied their equipment for a day's work, students gathered their books and finished some last-minute work, and storekeepers were opening up. A few looked upwards and they noticed a ball of light. Its was gradually getting larger, and the people felt the temperature rise slowly. They were terrified and unleashed a wave of panic. People came out to see what the commotion was about. All fingers were pointed upward and they Deaei gazed at the ball of light...

Several had been killed in the fireball impact. The Deaei were now afraid of the goddess and they had to rebuild. However, this time, they planned to include a temple complex in their town devoted to the Goddess...

Now the Deaei must rebuild. Dead bodies are piled high and the Produliners live in fear. They can only hope the new temple pleases the Goddess...

    Dea Rebuilt

Dea lie in ruins. The downtown was burned to the ground, the port was annihilated, the farms had burnt, and the school was no more. Many lie dead. Over the next 2 years, the Deaei rebuilt their town. They broke their backs and tired themselves out, but eventually, they rebuilt their town.

    deastage4templesio0.jpg

The Temples. The one on the left was The Temple of Her Wrath. It had a large underground tomb known as The Red Tomb. The round, red rook resembled the Fireball. The other temple was The Temple of Her Mercy.

    deastage4westpiermh7.jpg

The Downtown Pier and the West Pier. The Downtown Pier was a popular picnic spot. Workers ate and gazed out at the ocean. The West Pier was a larger pier and was an entertainment spot. Once a month, Produliners gathered for food and fun. Stores were set up, giving a boost to local business. Seawalls by Pegasus.

    deastage4pineappleshippus9.jpg

Pineapple Farms and Shipping Areas. Pineapple farming became the main agricultural output of Dea almost overnight. Pineapples grew well and two large farms were built. Food production skyrocketed. The Shipping Areas transported pineapples to stores and markets. Farm and Shipping Area by gshmails.

Typical Neighborhood. After several years, trees grew and the residents now had beautiful neighborhoods to live in.

    deastage4zt9.jpg

Dea. The population broke 1,000 and the Deaei prepared a giant celebration on the West Pier.

So, the Deaei were happy, but the Brawlers lived miserably in fear. But Eugene Norman planned to make some major changes to satisfy the Brawlers. He wanted to split the project into two parts, so that he didnt tire the builders. For Part I, he proposed some beautification projects and Produlin's first safety buildings. Hopefully, he will please his people...

penguin007: good to see ur still very faithful to my CJ. I think she was very angry indeed to have killed hundreds of the people she once saved.

Sim_Air: Poor Town!!?? To ignore the Goddess is a horrible crime, the punishment to which is death! heh. anyway... wat do u mean by "grow big and make bad things"?

archesrule29: Indeed, they deserved to die. Indeed, the flame was quite painful. And, indeed, I cannot stop saying indeed (indeed).
