A general transit strike causes everyone to use cars. This consumes all the world's supplies of oil. As trains cannot be maintained without oil, the technology is abandoned. Trainmaster423 becomes useless, as his job was to be the 423rd master of trains. He is fired, and starves to a poor, lonely death on the streets as he has no other useful skills.

Due to the lack of oil, astronelson, who is a renowned Chemist (as seen in his Avatar), is asked to search for a renewable energy source. When he discovers that solar energy can be used efficiently, he earns millions with his projects and inventions. He lives a wonderful life in a seaside house and dies of suffocation after he chockes on a Bretzel while sitting in front of his fireplace.
