I have just got a great new region that I'm really excited about playing but I have

found myself Obliviating every city I start. I need some help and suggestions about what to do.

My only thing I insist on is that I need to raise taxes to 14% for agriculture

because I don't like wasting space with farms.

Please Help

Attempted to edit this, but the code segment cannot be fixed.  NOB.

    Hello!

If you want throw up pictures, all you have to do is bring up the reply box and click the little yellow icon that shows a small mountain. That opens the "picture" box...then all you have to do is paste the url on the line where it says (just the url, no tags or anything else with it). And there you go! You can resize it and everything from there (pics can't be bigger than 800 x 600).  Either way, we can view your picture by copying the url you tried to use into the address bar, so I see it anyways.

What exactly are you trying get help on?

I don't really get what you're asking for, but I'll try anyway 31.gif

How I usually play is start a city, build it a little (not too much though) and then go to a neighboring city, do the same, and so on.  This, I find, builds a slightly stronger demand for medium and high wealth (i.e. manufacturing, co-§§, etc.)  Hope that helps answer your question.

    Hmmm....

What it looks like, is that your suffering from severe congestion.

There are multiple ways to counter congestion

1.) Use buses whenever possible, this is best because they do not add congestion to the roads and are faster then cars, but people of $$ wealth and $$$ wealth are hard pressed to use buses they would rather use cars.

2.) Add mass transit: Mass transit is expensive relatively to buses, but does pay off because you get really high speed commutes, good for city to city.

I would recommend monorails for high speed passenger traffic, however elevated rail has the advantage of being able to go to subway, which is awesome for major cities that have trouble with surface street congestion, it's just getting people to use them thats the challenge for me XD.

3.) You could add more avenues that are more straight shots between cities and points of interest, like industrial, commercial, or residential blocks.

But thats what I THINK you were trying to say, you come off a bit flustered to me so I can't tell what your trying to say, we can't read minds here! But your region looks great!

As an initial suggestion, go back and delete the code box in your first post.  It is making the whole business too wide.  I tried to moderator edit it, and it was unavailable to me.

Another suggestion is that you go and read the new members rules on posting.  Thanks.

Yeah I am sorry guys. I wasnt being very open about what it was that I wanted. I really just wanted some ideas about how I should get my new region going. At that time I had been playing for a few hours and I think i really just gave myself a simcity headache. Hope you guys understand that one.

This was actually my first post even though I been a part of this site for some time. I think I get how to post proper messages now.

    Thanks for the feedback
