Oh yea and here we go, My stupidly long and neglected list of replies: 22.gif

Before I start I have a collective reply for all of you…

Members of Simtropolis:  No, I will not post a region shot, stop asking! You know I don’t post them in my CJ’s because my regions look like a patchwork quilt because of my ever changing terrain and water mods.

    ---PAGE 11---

Tankmank:  Thanks, It really is a weird site seeing rice paddies in a growing sea of hi-rises.

Deever:  Haha, yea it’s a big job. Thanks for your nice comments man!

    RV1428:  Well, thankyou! Happy 100th!

Saltandsauce:  I didn’t know I had trams in my CJ. If you mean the trains, they are very similar to the KCR/ MTR trains on Hong Kong.

Penguin007:  Thanks, glad you like the area, although I wouldn’t call it rural, lol. Thanks for your comment!

Hijodecordoba:  Haha, 2.5 GB at the moment.

Rct3twins:  Oaky, hope you like the mod.

Lucky7:  Wow, thanks, it’s great to hear comments like that. Thanks for stopping by!

Garby85:  Wow, thanks! Glad you liked the photo effects.

Mike the Mayor:  Well, ha, that’s good to hear! I actually had to base a lot of it just from what I can remember when I was last in Tai Po last year. Thanks for the comment!

AutumnWindz:  Thanks. I’ve been working on this project for almost 6 months now.

Flame1369:  Well, yea. It is just a random collection of skyscrapers that I put a lot of effort into… Thanks for your comment!

Woah! What a panorama! And it's pretty amazing that you didn't use any maxis buildings (or i didn't recognize them) as opposed to Ellis Valley.

As for the replies, YOU MISSED MY FIRST COMMENT! ITS THE FIRST ONE ON PAGE 11! Oh well.

Wow, that update was amazing! Great use of the diagonal and W2W buildings, especially the spot where you used them together. Although I think elevated highway would look better, the fact that the textures under the ground highway match the ones on the surrounding streets, it looks very urban. That last shot looks beautiful, it's one of the best in-game shots I've seen so far! Really. 9.gif

    SPECIAL NOTICE:

Before I start with the update, I’d like to thank all of you, my readers for taking the time to nominate me for the ’07 Trixie awards. It really does mean a lot to me to receive 6 nominations in just the CJ section alone for Best City Journal, Most Aesthetically Pleasing City, Awe Inspiring City, Most Realistic City Journal, Best Use of Custom Content in a CJ and Best Use of Added Graphics in a CJ. Unfortunately, Hong Kong didn’t win any of these awards but if you look at the CJ’s that did win you’d know why so I’m still over the moon to even be considered to win. Maybe next year eh?

Anyways, on with the update. Over the past week I’ve been constructing the area around Hong Kong’s old and now un-used airport, Kai Tak. It was officially closed when Chap Lap Kok took over as the main airport in the 1990’s because Kai Tak only had one runway and would be well over capacity as Hong Kong continued to grow. Now days, It’s just a large construction site with a little of the old airport remaining. There are plans to build over the site but that hasn’t happened yet. One interesting feature of this airport was that the runway was built on a peninsular that stretched out into Hong Kong harbor, so that overgrown thing in my re-creation is the past site of the runway. Here’s the update:

If you haven’t figured it out yet, click the pictures, their bigger than normal… 25.gif
