Pleasant Valley

I've seen several comments concerning farms and it got me to thinking about a region I had a couple of years ago that was mostly farm land with cities mixed though-out. Anyway I wanted to try my hand at that theme again. This region consists a broad valley surrounded with hills and some coastline.

Here's a shot of Greenville, the region's main city. What do you think?

That looks great, rewright - and excellent blend of farms, untouched land and development - I even see a couple of towers and a mall complex in there.

Actually kind of reminds me of my home town.

Small city center, suburbs around, a university, and some malls and shops off to the side and then surrounded by a large expansive farm area with untouched land...

Kinda reminds me of the little towns/cities around where I live.

Nice farms! The way the transportation networks were laid out looks nice. Also, you managed to make the farms look less bare with those trees. Nice touch.

To me it seems like that would make an amazing exurb of some city. I could definitely see that 2-3 tiles out from a main city. But not out in the middle of nowhere. Still beautiful, though.

Just a quick reply. I changed the image to a jpeg so now IE can process it. Sorry for the goof. Also, Kings Bay is not dead, just on vacation. I also have a desert themed cj in the works. Will give more detailed pictures of Pleasant Valley later. Thanks for all the interest!!

Schulmanator - Hopefully you can now see it. I have begun working on the small towns that will populate the valley floor.

Godzillaman - Welcome! As you may have noticed, most of the growth is close to existing built-up areas, there by limiting sprawl.

Deever - Glad you like the farms. They are difficult to get realistic. I haven't had much luck with the dirt road mods.

halo_lover - Howdy. Well it's actually meant to look like a mid-western city common in the states. This picture from Kansas is a good illustration.
