I have it installed on my fiance's laptop just incase she's on the PC and I get a SC craving, lol. Her Laptop is XP but its really really bad, not made for gaming at all... I doubt it could handle SC4.

it runs very good on windows xp because i have got it as well the better the specs of your pc the better it will run hope this helps

well, I run the standard sc3k on my xp system... but this was kind of a lucky found on a local electronics store.

I used to have sc3k right from the start but then xp came out and I wasn't able to play sc3k any more.

than, there were lots of discussions on this topic and at a certain point, I found an sc3k at the above mentioned store for like 5 bucks claiming to be xp-compatible... and it was.

long story short, my sc3k runs just fine on my xp... but again, this is not sc3k unlimited, but the standard sc3k generally considered to be not xp compatible

I have Sim City 3000 Unlimited on the same computer I play Sim City 4 and The Sims 2.

It runs very well, I haven't had any issues with running it and it plays very smoothly.

I sometimes get the urge to play it and I build a city and then marvel at it and put it away for the next time I have the urge to play.

SC3KU plays very well on XP mostly because XP PC's now are pretty powerful compared to what they designed the game to run on (it played fine on NT and 98 too btw)

Oh, yes it does! No worries! Even SC2k runs flawlessly on XP.
