you mean: you want your canal border right against a road?

well you select your canal ( i'm guessing you have one already) and plop them on the place were you like...you can rotate with the "end"button...dragg a road agains it and you have a street bordering your canals.

if it is what i'm thinking what you want, it looks like this-------------------------------------------------------------------------------v

if not..let me know! you can PM me is you want 4.gif

The canals look great, where can I get canals?

How can you align the land along the sea/lakes to be absolutly straight/level like on Simcity3000??

If anyone can explain this to me I would be very greatfull as I have been trying to align the land with the landscape tools that come with the original RushHour and I just can't get the "urban" effect like on SimCity3000

I figured i'd post in this thread instead of starting a new one.

How and where should i plop canals to make them look reasonably realistic? I've never actually been to a city with canals, so i don't know much about them.

those canals are from a Japanees site...i don't know where i found them...sorry, but i have them a very long time, so i realy can't help you with that!!

well...canals can be ploped everywere! along roads...infront of plazas and behind houses...aslong if the houses/shops are conencted with roads/ped. mal tiles.

do you have google earth?? try to find Amsterdam,Utrecht,St.Petersburgh or even venice...or use google search..and type in canals, maybe that can help you on your way!

you can have a look in the CJ section aswel!! there are many CJ's with canals!! hope this helps 4.gif
